We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in South Burlington the night before traveling to Texas. The place is always clean and comfortable. The staff has always been top notch. The morning of our departure the ever pleasant staff member Emily in the breakfast room advised us to get to the airport early to try to get a standby flight to beat the oncoming bad weather. What great advice!! We made it out just in time and the desk staff and shuttle driver were very helpful setting up our earlier shuttle trip to the airport. On the return trip we were delayed a day but the staff had no problem with us leaving our car there an extra day and picking us up at the airport. One can not find a better place to stay when coordinating airport travel from Burlington, VT. Great Job!! Our thanks to all.

Even though we came to stay one night, everything from early check-in, to late check-out was perfect! The night manager Brenden helped us not only book this last minute sleepover(the night before), but arranged for a late check-out as well. This is once again, why we choose this Holiday Inn Express time and time again! KUDO's to ALL the staff at this HIEX from Manager Brenden, to our little breakfast girl helper who always has a smile as well! Thanks again! :)

I love this place. The staff are courteous and help with whatever issue comes up. The breakfast options in the morning are good and are one reason I return here as well.

From the minute I contacted Lonnie in Sales, my experience with Holiday Inn Express was excellent! Lonnie was a pleasure to speak to and work with to book a group of rooms for our hockey team. Check in was a breeze and the staff was cheery and helpful. The room itself was clean, comfy and spacious. The pool was a hit with the kids. It was clean and clear with plenty of room to sit in the pool area. Breakfast was pretty good with the normal choices of bagels, eggs, toast, cereal and pancakes. The kids loved the pancake machine. We will surely be staying there again and we have told many of our friends to check it out. Thank you for a great stay and great service.

I stay at this hotel fairly regularly for business stays in the Burlington, VT area, and it is always clean and comfortable. The pool and deep hot-tub are very nice. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The restaurant next door, although a little pricey, has wonderfully imaginative dishes expertly prepared by a top-notch chef. Highly recommended.

This is our go to hotel in the Burlington area (our son is at UVM).
Recently I stayed there for 8 nights instead of our usual 1-2. Our
son was hospitalized because of complications from the norovirus.
One of those stressful "come now" emergencies every parent
dreads. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, kind or friendly.
I had to extend may stay twice and the front desk made sure I
got to stay in my room, despite an influx of hockey families! The breakfast lady was cheerful and chatted to everyone and always asked after my son. She even made sure I booked for graduation
and didn't miss out in May. The front desk made sure we took the free shuttle to rent a car at the airport..(UVM had dropped us off in the middle of the night.) The room was new and immaculate. The heat worked fine.
I ate twice at the Lakehouse next to the hotel because it was too
cold to eat farther away, -15. The food was tasty and the waitstaff
friendly to an older woman traveling alone. My only disappointment was the pool was too cold for anybody to swim.

Once again I am surprised and pleased by your attention to detail.
The addition of a Keurig in my room was a wonderful surprise.
You are one of the few properties in which I stay that is continually improving your rooms. A couple of months ago it was charging stations, now a Kuerig, I can only guess what is next. The other amazing thing is that no matter what staff changes there are, the staff still is polite and attentive. Obviously this begins by example at the top.
You rival any full service Holiday Inn I have ever visited.

Clean, confortable beds, spacious room. Nice indoor swimming pool with lots of windows and quit large altought we did not use it. Beakfast is fine but there were no fresh fruits except some on the counter at the front desk. Great stay for the price.

Room was nice and hotel is in good condition. the problem was the heating unit. It was extremely loud. I was so tired and it was late that I did not try to get the hotel to deal with it but for the next stay I will check it out earlier

This is the best HI express I have stayed in. It also is better than most "full service" hotels I have ever stayed in . The staff are outstanding and their attention to detail never seems to stop. Management continues to upgrade the property. I love the new power source on the nightstand with the usb plug-ins for charging my various electronics(kindle/phone etc) I don't need the whole charger just the cord-what a great idea.
I leave early in the am and coffee is always ready in the breakfast room.
Keep up the great work.

Upon checking in one desk clerk was flirting with two clients and did not recognize my arrival. Finally a second desk clerk popped out of the back and checked us in. The sinks would not drain and I was told they could snake the drains and use draino. I requested a different room in which the keys would not work. The front desk was to have new keys delivered and I had to retrieve them myself. At this time I explained I was very unhappy. The desk clerk said she would let her manager know. I never heard a word from anyone. It was plain and simple a terrible experience and we will not use this property again.

Heading north from Massachusetts to Montreal, this proved to be a great place to break the trip. A large, clean, quiet room, easy access from the parking lot, and the typical HIE breakfast, all combined to make this a wise choice. Pauline, a restaurant about 2 blocks away and serving great food, was an unanticipated bonus.

My stay was right after visiting my mothers grave (nearby) and after an illness of my own, so I was not feeling the 'best' but have to commend Holiday Inn Express for yet another GREAT stay! The bed was SUPER comfortable (from a person that doesn't sleep well on the best of occasions), room was clean, jacuzzi & pool area were clean and well maintained, and breakfast was yummy! : )
Virtually everything was more than satisfactory and lifted my spirits at a time when they REALLY needed to be lifted.

As a priority club member I always look for Holiday Inn Express when I travel. The people are pleasant, the beds are clean and comfy and I always feel that I have everything I need.
The problem I've been encountering in all of the Holiday Inn hotels I've stayed in lately is the STRONG smell of chemical cleaners that hit me as soon as I enter. I've stayed at 3 or 4 different sites over the past several weeks and the smell is the same - like toxic chemical cleaners, not a fresh, naturally clean scent. This is the only reason I would not recommend this or any other HI site to a friend. In fact, I am looking into alternative lodging for my next trip myself. Are other people affected by this? I don't see how they couldn't be.

Arrived quite early, and while we knew the Check-in time was 3.00pm, it seemed the staff were working exactly to that rule before we were allowed to proceed.
While the accommodation was adequate, the departure was marred at Reception by the refusal to accept travellers cheques (American Express US$). Why on earth a hotel for travellers should have that policy is beyond me . I shall enquire of Customer Care if that is the policy of the whole Holiday Inn Group.
