Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best stay during our trip !!!!! We were on a road trip for 14 days. This was the hotel I enjoyed the most. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location was great and we did not have to go far to get a wonderful dinner at the Longhorn right next door. So convenient. The morning we were leaving our car battery was dead and the maintenance personnel had a portable car charger to our rescue. You can tell that the hotel actually cares about their guest and that means a lot when you are traveling a lot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Charleston. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but mind the details We chose this hotel because of the availability of a "suite" style room because we were a group of two adults and two children. The location is nice, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious with an extra kitchenette area we were not expecting. However the kitchenette was dimly lit and cold...seemed more like a closet that had been converted after the fact. I would not want to spend any time in there but it was nice to have a refrigerator and counter space. We were missing many things...suite could sleep six with two in each bed and two on the sofa bed, but we only had towels and washcloths for two on entering the room. A quick trip to the front desk took care of that. The remote was missing and when we opened the sofa bed there were no linens provided for it in the room. The desk clerk brought these and promised a working remote in the morning after two he brought did not work. He was very helpful in trying to make it right. Sofa bed mattress was awful...lumpy and bumpy. Other beds very firm but slept well. Very quiet in room was a plus. Upon taking our first shower found used shampoo and soap still in stall from previous occupant...details... Internet booted us off on the second evening about 10pm. Guess we needed a new pass code but didn't care to go through the hassle of it at that point. On a positive note the shower and water pressure were wonderful! Best shower ever! Pool was nice and kids enjoyed playing in it. Breakfast was okay...we have been spoiled by locations offering make your own waffles and missed those here. Sausage gravy was lukewarm and bland. Overall we would not return for the price that we paid for the suite considering everything. November 19, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday inn Prices were way to high for the area and Holiday inn express, Breakfast was terrible the sausage gravy had been watered down to the consistency of water with no taste, The bathroom condiments were not the same as most Holiday inn express's standards. Talking to the manager seemed to be a waste of my time. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone October 30, 2014
