Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the money I stayed here the night before an early flight so I could park my car during the trip and take the early morning shuttle to the airport. It was worth the stay for that convenience alone. But I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and neat the room was. It was quiet and had a comfortable mattress. I'd stay again. March 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay Had problem with heater working properly. The heater doesn't come on until you enter the room. Contacted the front desk attendant and he immediately had a maintenance man correct the problem and offered another room if necessary. Wish there were more choices on the breakfast menu. Really loved the closeness of the airport and the free shuttle service. Overall a nice stay! Read some of the other reviews and we did not have any issues with the lack of hot water or bad internet service. March 19, 2013

My worst experience at a Holiday Inn Express yet, and I stay at many Holiday Inn's and Holiday Inn Express's. I was supposed to stay for three nights, but left after one. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location near SFO Stayed here one night while connecting through SFO on a trip to Asia. The hotel is close to the airport, and the free shuttle made transportation easy. The hotel staff was friendly, the breakfast choices were good, and everything in the room worked fine. The bed was super comfortable! The next time I need a hotel near SFO this will be my first choice. March 2, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of Response I am a Platinum member. I was very disappointed with the servcice for my four night stay. There were issues with the door and locking mechanism. I was not satisfied with the response of the hotel staff. The clerk at the front desk was flippant. I left a detailed voice mail message on the second day of my stay for the manager Raj. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room rate changed My room rate changed from the first night to the second and third. I had initialed an agreement for my room rate but yet it increased. I was leaving early in the morning when I found out I was "slammed". I asked the night clerk to correct the bill. The night clerk said he couldn't change it and for me to contact the manager. i called three times the following day and each time was put on hold and then dropped off. I contacted customer care who said that someone would contact me with in 48 hours (this was more than 5 days ago and no one has contacted me.) I'm very disappointed, My company stays in this particular Holiday Inn Express very often and I am contacting my travel arranger to change hotels in the future. February 28, 2013

They sent two technicians who couldn't do anything and it must have been the entire hotel because they didn't offer another room. They blamed it on the satellite, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The manager was supposed to call me, but he didn't. Also, my iPhone would not recognize their wifi. They said it must be my iPhone, but this has never happened before or since with any wireless system. Why do the hotels near silicon valley always seem to have the worst internet services? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst customer service ever! I had a reservation for 2/16/2013 for one night. I was in town for the funeral of my grandpa. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with the funeral, I had to call the morning of my reservation to try and cancel. I called the hotel and spoke with Norris. She was not helpful and she transfered my to the on-duty managers phone. His name is Raj. He did not answer. I left him a detailed phone message and email explaining why I was in town and why I needed some mercy and leniency with the cancellation policy. He never returned my call or email. In fact, the guest relations folks at the national level could not reach him either. He was given 48 hours to at least respond to my request. He did not respond within that time frame. It wasn't until the guest relations folks decided to mail me a refund check that I heard back from him. In his response,he said he would not be able to issue a credit (even though he has the authority to do so). He seems to me to be heartless. STAY AWAY! Worst customer service ever! February 19, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by renovated interior, comfort of stay, knowledgeable staff, & good location to SFO I will definitely come back to this hotel but this time with my family and will highly recommend this hotel to my colleagues. When I erroneously made an incorrect reservation, the hotel Operations Manager was able to correct the error on time before my actual stay. I wish that I have more tome to stay in this hotel as all the restaurants I want to visit (mainly the popular Asian restaurants) are nearby. Furthermore, the hotel service was fast, the staff are respectful and knowledgeable, and the distance of the hotel to SFO is outstanding without worries of being late. Hence, I recommend this hotel. So what are you readers waiting for? : - )) February 7, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Really weak water pressure and the hot water is not very hot. I found that the water pressure in the room was barely adequate to keep the shower head engaged. I also found that the hot water was not hot enough. The hot water flow in the sink was so reduced that it would take 10 minutes to fill the sink. I also found that charging for parking in South San Francisco is a bit of a stretch. There isn't a parking shortage in South San Francisco and it is an industrial area. The wireless internet doesn't cover the entire hotel very well. Fortunately the wired internet is good. January 29, 2013

The hotel is close to the rental car return and not that far from the city. Made the stay all the more enjoyable. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was perfect for our needs. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Confirm your rate before you commit to your stay! We were told that our rate would be X by 2 different people as we traveled late nite to catch a plane in the early am. However when we arrived (4 adults and 6 kids 7mos to 13 all in varying stages of exhaustion) we were told 55 more and at that point needed to get everyone to bed. The room was nice and the breakfast just okay . The next morning the front desk basically blew me off about the rate. We had 2 rooms and one had a park (10days) and fly so we left our car and flew to Hawaii. We returned on a red eye and came back to the motel.We decided just to stay because we had sick kids and crying and tired kids. My wife was also ill so we decided to check in again because we only slept maybe an hr. on the plane. We were'nt charged an early check-in but now the rate was another 20 higher. I did'nt argue we were tired. Staff was much friendlier and location good and shuttle to airport easy. Parked in safe location for our trip and reasonable was added w/ one of the rooms. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment As I Platinum level Priority Club member, I have stayed a numerous Holiday Inn properties. This is the only one at which we had a less than a good to excellent experience. When I checked in the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge my Priority Club membership. Then, even after a staff member checked the reception on out television, it did not work properly. When we were ready to retire for the night, we discovered that the heating/ac unit did not work. We adjusted the thermostat and nothing happened. So we just went to bed. I think that this one night hopefully is not representative of a normal stay at this property. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent place to relax after a quick trip to Singapore I flew from Singapore and due to airport operations had some travel challenges. I was exhausted. The reservations staff, Tess at the front desk etc went out of their way to accommodate my early arrival. The room was clean, quiet enough with a busy McDonalds next door. The wifi worked well and I used the business center to print out a boarding pass. I slept, woke up and was able to grab a few items to eat, meeting the 6:08 shuttle. The place was perfect for an exhausting overnight where I ended up in SFO and my luggage is still flying United. November 29, 2012

Arriving leasurely the night before we were able to get a good nights sleep, and use the free shuttle to the airport the next morning. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the purpose I needed a quiet place to rest after arriving to SFO on a transatlantic journey so this was a good choice. Did not use the shuttle service as I had a rental car and the hotel is just 5min further down the road from the SFO rental car garage. Parking at the hotel is not free but reasonably priced. Found the HIE SFO North to be one of the best rated options in Tripadvisor and I was not disappointed. Rooms are of good size, clean and even have microwave oven. Most important for me and my jetlag, the night was quiet. There´s a fitness room and Spa downstair. Breakfast is okay, good variety and nice staff but average quality. Location: The hotel is located in an industrial area with nothing around but a McDonald´s. Direct access to HW101, so with a car you´re well connected to San Francisco and all surrounding areas. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Should not qualify as a Holiday Inn Express Arrived at SFO evening of Sunday Oct 28th. Attempted to call hotel three times enroute and received no answer. On fourth call reception answered. I had a question about shuttle service. Was told shuttle runs every 30 minutes. It took 1 and 1/2 hour to get from airport shuttle station to hotel.. Arrived at hotel approximately 10 pm. Individual who was working reception that evening had no interest in check in. In fact we waited at desk almost 5 minutes before she even appeared. No welcome priority club member, no welcome period. Her only interest was on the after game news. I had to ask a question three times to find out where the elevator was as she flatly stated I hear you. Reception very rude and not what I have ever experienced from a Holiday Inn Express. One final question was did they offer water or any snack to priority members and the answer again was a flat no we don't . I will say the room was comfortable. November 3, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service Air-conditioner was a bit noisy. The bottle of water at $3.00 is really not necessary. The faucet water tested to be quite good, compared to the bottle water. Daily parking rate was a surprise. Would have to consider that for a longer stay. No break for Priority Club members?
