Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable be but room too warm. A good hotel in a good location. I particularly like the foyer area and the decor in the bar/lounge area. Room comfortable and clean but very stuffy and warm at night time even with window open. It was difficult to sleep. Breakfast - more fresh fruit would be nice to see. July 29, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 reservation When reserved room asked for fans in all three rooms when booked and adjoining rooms with connecting door . Not done .Asked for fans when I stayed earlier in June three rooms asked for fans not done . In room 320 no air con ,room not the same as other times what was this the cheap option . Paid enough for three rooms next time probably book other hotel July 28, 2015

We had a problem with no hot water on the 2nd floor, in the shower in the morning, but this was soon resolved by staff and an alternative room offered to shower in. However, in the end this was not needed as the water problem was fixed. Good stay in general, with the free breakfast giving us all that we needed. July 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel with very friendly staff. This is a nice hotel. Well maintained and very clean. Lovely foyer area and very pleasant staff. Rooms are comfortable but overly warm during the summer. There was no air-conditioning and despite leaving the window open it was difficult to get quality sleep as the room was stuffy and did not cool down. Positioning of hair-dryer in room is too low. I am not tall but the hair-dryer is either positioned too low or the flex is not long enough. Breakfast could be improved. It's adequate in that there is enough to eat but fresh fruit salad needs improved. Layout of self-service food area better since our last visit. July 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel The hotel was great, the room was comfortable and the breakfast plentiful. The staff was very helpful directing us to the local computer store where we could buy a sat nav to replace the one we had which had failed. They also directed us to a laundry where we could was our clothes from traveling before boarding the Queen Mary 2 for our trip back home. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and we weren't disappointed. We arrived at about 2 AM from Harwich and it was nice to see that our room was ready and not second rate which I have noticed happens when you arrive late. July 26, 2015
