I stay here 2 times in the past week. I stay at this hotel when I drive through Memphis. The first night the room was great but was on the 2nd floor, which is the smokers floor. It wasn't nice to walk out the room to smell smoke. The breakfast is always fabulous, with the automatic pancake maker and in-room Kurigs. The 2nd night we stayed, it was a first floor room but the mattress felt like a rock. Nice desk and housekeeping personnel. I would stay here again.

This is a great location to visit Graceland and surrounding sites. The hotel is fairly modern and offers what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express. The rooms include a frig which is great for traveling. Although we were on the third floor, we had tiny ants in both bedroom and bathroom. This was creepy and an annoyance but we chose not to make issue to avoid having to move all our things. However, when we told the desk clerk the next day, she didn't even apologize! Also, in our bathroom there were many traces of hair from either previous guests or maybe even from the housekeeping staff. Either way, more attention to detail is warranted. It wasn't awful but more of a general annoyance. We would stay here again if in this area. The dining room staff were friendly and helpful.

One thing to improve that water could not purchese at the vending machine. This is same as last stay in 2012 Nov.

There was noise one morning from the fitness room, but the lady at the service desk took care of it. Thanks alot. The bathroom tub had a crack in it and it looked like it was dirty (other marks/gouges). Scared to use. Other than that the room was good.

WE usually stay at Holiday Inn Expresses when we travel This one in Southaven Mississippi was clean and every thing else was fine except for the bed. The bed saged so bad in the middle that we had a hard time getting out of it when we needed to get up, we are in our seventys believe me it wasnt an easy task getting out of the bed. So inthe morning we pulled the sheets back what a sight the mattress covering was all ripped and foam was hanging out all over the place. worst nite we ever spent in a bed cant recomend this hotel to any body But all in all Holiday Inns are the top of the line We will continue to stay at them there Fabulious operation.

Its to bad that this older hotel that has been doing a lot of great updates and has newer comfortable beds is bitten by the little things. The TV service was terrible as you could not get the remote to change the channels or volume and it was not the remote, it was the TV service. Also, the stool did not flush well and the bath tub backed up. Lastly, I tried to use the guest laundry and the dryer ate my quarters. The staff was nice but I felt they were not empowered to solve any problems. So what could be a great hotel fell way short because of these little things.

My first bad experience in a HI Express in a long time... I am a dedicated Holiday Inn chain customer.
I stayed here because it is very close to the airport - and has a free shuttle. When checking in, I asked to be on the shuttle list for the morning. It runs every hour. My flight was at 6:00 AM. I didn't want to catch the 4:00 AM and sit at the airport that long. The customer service gal at check-in said the shuttle is normally at the hotel 10 minutes early, so I felt safe with the 5:00 trip.
The next morning, I was down at 4:45 AM. 5:00 AM passed, 5:15 passed, and finally at 5:25 he showed up. The gal at the desk was calling every 10 minutes - and he kept saying he would be there in 10. Got to the airport at 5:35. Printed boarding pass, sprinted down the concourse. Last one on the plane! Whew...
I tried to print my boarding pass from the hotel early that morning, but the printer wasn't working (and their computer might have been the slowest I have used in 5 years).
Add to that my non-smoking room smelled like somebody smoked in it, and I more than likely won't be back.

This is a nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel has undergone renovation in past 5-6 years. great breakfast and staff on front desk. friendly but efficient. rooms clean and well mantained. had one day that left room at 10 am and cleaning staff did not return to clean room. However, front desk staff stepped up and provided anything that was needed. great looking property, very secure very convient to airport and staff very accomidating. great

When I got to my room the television did not work so I went to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. I had to go down to the front desk and they put me into another room. I had to repack all my things and move.
The biggest problem I have with this chain is there is never nothing healthy for breakfast. NO FRUIT, NO OATMEAL that is already made and ready for you. Every once in a while they have packets of oatmeal that is not good oatmeal.

We have stayed at this location multiple times and the last two times have been charged additional charges on our credit card without being notified. This time it was for our dogs. We now know that dogs are not allowed on the premises. We were traveling and using the mobile site and I misunderstood the paw print to mean pets were ok and even mentioned we had two dogs when booking the room over the phone. She probably didn't catch that though because I was put on hold 5 different times during my booking. We checked in and were there less than 12 hours -- it was just a place to sleep while traveling. The next morning I went to check out and confirm our charges and make sure out priority points were included because we have had problems in the past with these issues. Everything was ok and we checked out. The next day I notice a charge for 150.00 on my card. We call and are told it was because of the dogs. Apparently the manager saw us coming in the back door and automatically fined us. Obviously we were in the wrong and should have made a bigger point about the dogs and verified it verbally in person, but our issue is that if they saw us coming in the door with them and could take the time to charge our card why could they not come knock on our door and say dogs are not allowed and you will be charged 150.00. We would have gladly left and gone to another hotel -- Better yet why were we not informed of the charge when we were checking out? Oh and good luck getting the general manager to call you back about any issues you have with your stay it took 4 days and 8 messages left for him just to get a call back. We have stayed at this location multiple times just due to convenience and location. Next time we will travel out of our way to have better customer service.

I stay in 15-20 different Holiday Inn Expess locations a year (multiple stays at each location) and have always been very satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms. However, this by far was the worst. Toilet was dirty and the rooms are just beat up. Definitely not what I'm used to seeing at HIE. I stayed there on two different occasions and they could not even give complimentary water to platinum members. I will not stay there again.

This Hotel is the best that I have had the pleasure to stay in. The Front Desk was excellent and very capable to answer all of my questions. The Breakfast Buffet was perfect and I know this is a lot of work to set this up every Day. The Hotel was close to everything in the area, especially Graceland. The room was excellent and very quiet, I could hear nothing from the other rooms. The Bathroom was spotless, and the Maid Service was the best I can remember ever having in a hotel. The only thing that would have put us over the top, would have been if the pool was covered. It was just to cold when we went there to enjoy the Pool. Maybe this is something for the future for this great Hotel. We will be going back there again the next time we go to the Memphis area. And If they had a Restaurant, we would never have left for Dinner at the other Restaurants in the area. Keep it up Holiday Inn Express.

While spending my 21 nights at this hotel, I had my room cleaned one time. And that was only after I called the front desk three days in a row to ask them to clean it.
I was working at night and had to sleep during the day. The front desk attendant said that they would have someone clean my room before I got there every day.
This did not happen and I got tired of asking. I would think that for the overpriced cost of a days stay at this property, that the front desk attendant would notice that my room had not been cleaned for two weeks and would have called my room to see if I needed anything. But it seemed like nobody even cared about the comfort of the guests.
Along with this was the issue of the morning breakfast. Several times in the morning at 7am the breakfast trays would be empty and the staff would not know about it until someone would tell them.
My stay at this hotel was not enjoyable to say the least.
If service like that is what you get at this hotel, I would suggest lowering the price somewhat to reflect what you can expect when staying here.

The shuttle driver approached me and grabbed my bag without asking. I had a small bag and preferred to carry it onto the shuttle myself. He was timely but overall was rude in his disposition.

We have stayed at this hotel before as we like the location to our Grandson's house. The rooms are always serviced & kept well
for our stay. The front desk personnel are always courteous & friendly & me being a Priority Club Gold Card member they always have my reservations ready for a quick & easy check in.
Breakfast is always good and the lady taking care of it keeps it well stocked and is always friendly & courteous to deal with.
Enjoyed our stay & when we make it back to the area we will stay at your facility again.
