The room was always clean and cool. The breakfast was great. The coffee was good and hot. The parking was good and pretty close. The front desk staff was very professional and knowledgeable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Highly Recommended - clean, quiet, convenient, great value 5 star quality for a 2 star price! We were in town for a family event, and found the hotel easy to access with plentiful restaurants, shopping, etc nearby. One of the cleanest hotels in chains I have stayed recently- our room location was as requested on the back side away from road and entry level noise; and evening lights. HVAC worked well as we used both heat and AC; water pressure on 3rd floor was excellent - no issues as I have seen comments to contrary in other reviews. The freezer section in our refrigerator was much appreciated as it kept our large cooler cold packs frozen for our cross country return trip. The staff was one of the most friendly I have encountered in any hotel including the 5 star resorts. I had conversations with breakfast team, house cleaning, two different desk clerks, and even maintenance who happened to be mopping front floor when I came in tracking dirt over a newly mopped tile floor! Everyone was smiling - while is a rarity to encounter. If I frequented the area this would be my choice for return stay as they were an excellent value, and delightful accommodation. One improvement I would suggest is nix the LED lightbulbs as they are so dim they really are insufficient for the room size and comfortable to work, dress,and apply makeup. You are not alone in this dimension, but totally inadequate lumen rating for the rest of your superior room qualities! 1 last item to suggest - consider muting the breakfast room TV and put it on caption display for those customers who prefer to hear our table conversation versus talking TV heads and commercials. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could've Been Better The room was very clean, spacious, and inviting upon entry. However, there is one super dim light when you initially walk in that barely lights the entryway. Having to fumble my way across the room with a toddler in tow was a task. Then the floor lamp clear across the room wasn't even plugged in! There is also no lamp on the desk. There is one lamp between the beds that was just okay. So, the lighting was terrible, especially arriving at 7 in the evening when it's dark outside. The beds and pillows were comfy, but thicker bedding would've been better. While it was 35 degrees outside, the thermostat was set on cool (A/C). It was freezing. When turning on the heat, I thought I'd let a freight train in. It was so loud that it woke up both my husband and daughter. The breakfast was really good. I'm a vegetarian and the options were plenty. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Checking in and out was a breeze. The location is near many shopping and dining options. March 10, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Somewhat disappointing Overall the Staff was friendly and the room was very clean. The disappointment was in the quietness in the room. You could hear the TV on in the room on onside, people coughing and banging around and then at midnight in the room on the other side some joker set the alarm to go off, the front desk promptly went to the room and turned it off but it added to a long night. Also you can heard the doors closing from other rooms. Newer motel but poor construction for sound proofing. Stayed in another HI Express the next night and my wife and I both commented on the difference. Not a bad place to stay just hope your neighbors don't snore. February 24, 2015
