Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Loved the room layout, breakfast not served long enough!!!!
We enjoyed our visit to the Detroit Zoo. This hotel was very conviently located. The door to our bedroom was nice to have some privacy from the kids.!!!!
Breakfast is not served late enough and the hotel funishings, bedding, ect is all outdated. Needs some updating.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Kitchenette and door opening
The kitchenette had not been properly cleaned, particularly the microwave and the coffeepot. The door to the room itself had difficulty closing.
I did not complain as I was alone, very tired from a 6 hour drive, and it has become apparent beginning in May that the quality of this location is going downhill. At our May visit, the manager did take off 10% of our bill, as the television in the living area had been removed and the coffeepot did not work.
Though I have not mentioned it before, whatever air freshener is being used at the frontier, needs to be eliminated. Smells like women's perfume and is quite overwhelming.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms were spotless and phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond and were extremely nice. They made an effort to actual ask about my day and were genuinely interested in the conversation. The breakfast is the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast but the breakfast lady made my morning. This is truly the crown jewel in Southfield. Will definitely let my family, friends, and coworkers know to ALWAYS stay here. Also, to the managers, you guys are running a perfect operation, keep up the great work.
