Plug in the bathroom didn't work, so no hair dryer. Acceptably clean. Comfortable bed. Construction started too early on Sunday morning. Hammer drill. Banging. Wanted to sleep in, but......

This Holiday Inn is very conveniently located north of IAH on I-45. The staff are really, really nice and aim to please. The rooms are fresh, clean and comfortable. Free wifi. Breakfast was included in the rate and featured fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereals, pastries and more.
That being said, be prepared for the noise and dust of construction. The first and third floors are, for the most part, completed. The second floor is a building site.
There are construction snafus that still need to be ironed out. Our first room could not be properly locked because the deadbolt strike plate had been installed incorrectly. Front desk staff were quick to reassign another room and note the problem for the construction crew.
The door in our second room would not close properly the second day without slamming it shut- which then deactivated our key cards. Again, the front desk staff were quick to recode new cards. The construction crew working on the reception area were all apologies as well. Like I said, nice people.
This property has a lot going for it and will be super once all the construction is done.

I got in late and checked out prices online, phone call etc and was ok with the rate I saw and quoted. I check in via the desk and told I was paying more for a building under construction, paint fumes , plastic over carpet and it was just bad. I should have left but I was exhausted and because there was nothing available in the area. Breakfast, pass, with the dust I the air and paint fumes...McDonalds was my choice. I'm sure they will be awesome once the dust settles and the fumes go away.
