Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Some flukey access problems We spent four nights at this Holiday Inn Express while visiting a son stationed at Fort Bragg. It was several miles closer than our other motel choice and was located near several restaurants and shopping centers. The motel is easily reached via Highway NC 87 S (Fort Bragg Boulevard), but we overshot it. The instructions provided by Holiday Inn's website said it would be on our left, but it was on our right, set back from the street, with a inconspicuous sign. The motel consists of two buildings at right angles to each other, forming an "L." The vertical part of the "L" is a long building. The base of the "L" is a shorter building. The reception area is at the top of the "L" in the long building. We paid $26 a night premium for a jacuzzi suite. We were told that all suites are in the base of the "L." The distance from the reception area to the suite building entrance is about a block. The lobby of the suite building was elegant, unattended, and difficult to unlock with our keys, taking several swipes before the doors slid open. With several couches, chairs, and a large screen TV, it would serve well as a meeting place for guests, in lieu of inviting them to your room. There was no luggage cart in the lobby of the suite building. We walked back to the reception desk and a friendly desk clerk gave us a luggage cart that we pushed a block back to the suite building. Our suite was a large, elegantly appointed room with ample furniture. A single person jetted deep tub was in the spacious clean bathroom. On our last night, our keys wouldn't access the lobby door at all. I sat on the steps and used my cell phone to call the reception desk. A very friendly desk clerk brought us new keys, apologetically explaining that ours were no longer programmed for access. To minimize luggage transport, ask for a first floor room near an entrance or a second floor near the elevator. A Red Robin Restaurant and International House of Pancakes are near the motel. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Internet down no TV I was not greates as a gold member upon arrival. They did not honor state rates. The Internet was not working, the TV was not working and I never got the AC to stay on. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. December 11, 2015
