Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I was expecting Overall this hotel was fine but they need to stop tricking people into thinking they are getting a suite. We booked months in advance and paid extra for a suite. When we arrived, our room was just a regular room. When I asked they told me the suites had a pull out sofa, which ours did not even have. I was very disappointed in this and I even asked to upgrade to anything better and they had nothing to offer me. July 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Stay and Attentive Staff We stayed for almost one week while attending the US Open golf. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the service first class. All the housekeeping staff were very efficient including the men and Tiffany at the Front Office very obliging as was Angela when we needed to leave early for our volunteer shifts. She had a hot breakfast to take away for us. Overall a memorable stay for all the right reasons. June 30, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything we needed and a great staff!! My wife and I stayed 8 nights during our trip to the 2014 US Open golf tournament. We chose this location for its easy drive to the tournament (35 minutes) and reasonable price during a high profile sports event. The entire staff was particularly helpful and friendly. They greeted us every time they saw us and provided everything we needed, from a stamp for a letter to deodorant which I had forgotten. I wish I could mention all of their names, but I only made note of Denise and Tiffany (front desk), Claudia (housekeeping), and Angela (breakfast). We stayed in a suite with two queen beds. The room had all we needed including a microwave, small refrigerator, and paper plates/utensils. The exercise facility was clean and new with all of the expected amenities. There was a large flat screen TV in the room with excellent picture quality. The complimentary breakfast was well-prepared every morning and contained a varied menu selection. We truly enjoyed our stay!! The only problem was the doors slam very loudly. June 17, 2014

Only problem was billing: my reservation quoted one total price (including all taxes), but my card was billed for $41 more with no explanation. I still have not gotten this straightened out. If I can get it corrected, I will stay here again. If not, I will go elsewhere next time I'm in the Fayetteville region. June 13, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unfriendly and indifferent This stay started out bad. Not greeted at check-in did not acknowledge at all during the check in process. Extremely noisy. Breakfast was not good nor were they stocked. Did not receive receipt under door for check out so went to desk and waited for desk clerk to finish conversation with Housekeeper and then I stated I did not receive a receipt and when she pulled up my room stated oh yea you are a priority club member well do you want a receipt? Really I waited for you to check me out so I must want receipt. I am due to return in June for a couple week long stay for a school however I will not be checking in at this Holdiay Inn Express. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Place! Upon checking in, I knew this was going to be a good hotel. The gal who checked me in (Liz) was awesome. She was friendly and very helpful. The place is clean and well cared for. Holiday Inn Express is usually my first choice in choosing a hotel, so I am very familiar with them and how they operate. I can always tell when they go the extra distance for their guests and this hotel is right up there with the best. A big Thank You to the management and staff (especially Liz) for making my stay a good one. I hope my travels bring me through your doors again one day. March 1, 2014

I had left something in the room that we had brought for our son and his buddies. We had left and forgot about it. She made sure he was able to swing bye and pick it up. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holy Moly The staff was FANTASTIC! I stayed there for 4 days over a business trip, and everything was excellent. On our last day, upon finding out our flight home was cancelled and we had to drive 10 hours home, the staff gave us bags of food for our journey and were extremely friendly and helpful. Furthermore, the rooms were comfortable and my living experience there kept me comfortable for the duration of the trip. I will definitely be staying here every time I come to the area! They're willing to bend over backwards to do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast was average. I'm not a big fan of the pre-heated Denver omelet…I prefer the pre-heated chefs omelet. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The beds are very comfortable. It's a hop, skip and a jump away from Ft. Bragg which makes it a convenient location. Overall, I would recommend this location to stay at. January 28, 2014

Rooms, bathrooms, hallways, foyer all clean and cheery. It was quiet, no disturbances. It was 25 minutes off I95, which was a bit far. January 3, 2014

The Staff was beyond exceptional! They made me feel like I was home, the House Keeping staff was awesome!!! I would easily decide to stay here if I was back in the FT Bragg Area. No Questions asked! The Rooms were better than any other room I've stayed at with Holiday Inn Express!!! A 4 Plus if not a 5 Star experience!!! A must if your coming to Spring Lake!! December 13, 2013

I stayed at a couple of local hotels (not knowing where to stay) and did not have a good experience. I was reluctant to stay close to Ft Bragg knowing the hotels were pretty run down. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Springlake (outside the Butner Rd gate to Ft Bragg) and was very surprised. The staff was great, the hotel was very clean. The room was excellent and I got a good night sleep. I have to make a comment about Mandy. Mandy really goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. You can tell she really loves her job.
