We were pleased with our experience at The Holiday Inn Express in Saint Hyacinthe. The staff was mannerly, well trained and profressional. The room was very, very clean and nicely appointed. The breakfast was good and there was lots of seating in the breakfast room. We would recommend this hotel to others.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by inthesky Hôtel bien situé et très bon service
seul petit hic - pour brancher la cafetière, on a dû la mettre par terre : fil pas assez long pour se rendre à la prise murale.

I have stayed in quite a few and this new model is really nice. The biggest pluses for me were the wider hallways and laminate floors in the rooms. Having no carpeting in the rooms is much better for cleanliness and odors.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rocky82 Great family-friendly and eco-friendly hotel
We stayed here recently on Wednesday night as a mid-point during a trip from Ontario to New Brunswick.
Service: Being bilingual but primarily English-speaking, I am always nervous about staying anywhere in Quebec. Upon arriving, the hotel clerk recognized my French deficiency and was happy to offer English service. This was not just limited to this one employee; all others we dealt with were good for this as well.
Rooms: The rooms are modern, clean, and use hypoallergenic materials. They offer both firm and soft pillows (which are labelled as such). As far as the room goes, it was perfect except that the mattress was a little more firm than we were used to (which is just preference), and our room was at ground level and faced the highway, so noise was a small issue; however, when we turned the air conditioning on, it provided a soft white noise which effectively drowned out the road noise.
Kids: The pool is salt water, very clean, and a good size for kids. When we left the pool, we stopped at the snack bar and I asked how much an ice cream sandwich was. I was told $2 but that freezies are free for families! Upon returning to our room, the TV was limited to mostly local French stations but they do have Teletoon which works for us.
Food: Breakfast is a hot buffet! Eggs, bacon, etc. I was a bit disappointed with the pancake machine, but who are we kidding... You cannot replace homemade pancakes with a machine.
Environment: This hotel has all the same standard policies as the others (reusing towels etc.). What stood out to me is a charging station for electric vehicles and a special feature of the in-room thermostats which requires that your room key be placed in a slot to maintain your desired temperature (so as to not waste energy while you are away).
Overall, this is the best stay we have ever had at a 2 or 3 star hotel and we will be back.
