When my family and I arrived at our room one of the beds was not made. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and was given new sheets, but I had to make the bed myself. Suite came with a PS4. I had trouble setting it up and one game we used from the hotel did not work. This wasn't a huge issue, but directions on setting up the PS4 would have been nice. The pancake machine was not working properly and the quality of pancake wasn't good. More options at breakfast would have been nice too, but overall it is what I expected. Breakfast and cleaning staff were friendly, making up for the front desk staff.

This was a great place to stay while in town. Rooms were quiet, large and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the person taking care of the breakfast was efficient and polite. The rooms were clean. The view was fantastic. I will stay here again in the future.

Nice hotel, across the street from the lake and a public park with picnic tables. Good restaurants nearby.

Nice Holiday Inn overlooking Lake Michigan. Great rooms and breakfast. Very nice staff!. Close to the wine country! Price was fair..

I have been staying at this hotel a number of times and there are many ++ and a couple areas for improvement.
+ Great Location - lake views can not be better at any other hotel in the area
+ Great Restaurant next door - The Lakehouse has great food, outdoor seating with excellent Lake views and shares parking lot of the hotel
+ Upgrades - they have always recognized my Platinum/SPIRE status and given me a great room
+ Breakfast - very good and the ladies are very helpful. It is clearly staffed appropriately
+ Room nicely updated with new carpeting and decor
now... the opportunities...
- My points are never entered correctly for the stay. I have had to call back a number of times, even after telling the front desk staff to please check into things. I eventually get things straightened out with the corporate customer service but it shouldn't have to be this way. Welcome points, credits for stays, IHG credit card bonuses seem pretty easy to administer... not sure why all the confusion at this hotel.
- Most of the staff is great... a couple however are less than friendly. I am sure no surprise so please address.
Overall, it really is a great hotel... just please fix the administrative stuff.

It is a very clean hotel. The rooms are very nice and was one of the best Holiday Inns that we ever stayed at.

I stay frequently at this hotel and generally have a great experience, am upgraded to a great room, and everything seems to go well until I check my points balance and try to look at my bill on line. I am SPIRE level and just off the phone trying to get credit for either welcome bonus points, IHG MasterCard bonus, nights credited towards my status, or a copy of my hotel bill electronically posted! The hassle to have to check all of this continually is very frustrating despite the great hotel stay experience.
I would give this hotel a 5 star as I really do like staying there, but have to drop to a 4 at least due to all the hassle. Please make sure your hotel staff is trained to ensure the administration piece is done how it should be ..... please.
