Plenty of parking to get large truck in staff was excellent the pond in back was a great place to relax. the refreshments that were offered as a manager special was great

The room was very clean staff was very freindly and the breakfast choices were outstanding. I travel alot and stay at several different hotels and I would strongly recommend this one. I will use it again when I am in the area!!

I have been to this property four times. It just seems like there is a overall lack of attention to detail in the rooms. Missing caulk around the faucet in tub or stained carpet in the foyer near elevator as examples. As a military guy I place a lot of emphasis on the workout room. The fitness room in this property is below average. The space is there to make it top notch but the same clunky machines have been there for the last three years (and well before that based on appearances. I can say they work they are just old.
The value is there - I just think it could be more.
Staff is fine - the lady was efficient.

Although the room was fine, the hallways etc. looked dingy and old. 4:00 check-in on night of 5:00 concert at Riverport ,with only one person working the counter, meant long line and customer frustration. Staffing should have been better thought out. The whole hotel lacked what is usually expected at a Holiday Inn Express. Also, after watching a couple get an early check-in, we were told simple "no rooms available." Poor attitude.

Our room was dirty and not pleasant. There were 3 in our party and she stated there were no more double rooms. However two more groups had arrived after us and were given double rooms. I know this because I had to go downstairs to obtain linens for the pullout couch and the family that was checking on a room and did not have a reservation as I did actually was given a double room and the next person in line after that was also told no double but then mysteriously a double was found. The room temperature was set at 65 and the room was freezing. We turned on the heat to soften the chill and had to actually prop our door open for the horrific smell coming from the furnace. The smell was a cross between something burning and a dead animal.

An isolated location, with a 100 yard walk in the dark through an office complex to find the nearest restaurant which is a Dave & Busters entertainment arcade. The bed although if had soft and firm pillow options, was squeaky and stiff. Very uncomfortable. And the wall mounted AC system needed recharging as it cycled on/off constantly all night struggling to reach the temperature setting. No on-site food options, only the morning breakfast buffet which is rather bland and institutional. The airport shuttle is very worn out, stained and torn seats, bumpy ride and needs to be retired and replaced. Although the driver was very friendly. This is not the property they should use in their catchy ad campaign "I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night".

We really enjoyed our stay there. We had booked this to attend a concert that night. We were upgraded to a suite. The bed were very comfortable. The breakfast the next day was plentiful. Everyone was very friendly. Next concert we will be staying here again. The only cons I have is the the shuttle to the concert. You need 2 vans when the concert lets out. The driver was kind and drove safely. But everyone is trying to get into one van.

We had a reservations but the guy who checked us in had no business working the front desk. He took forever!! People were lining up behind me and getting angry. All he wanted to do was bash on the Huskers football program instead of doing his job. Took 20 minutes to check in and we had reservations as stated above. The next morning I did tell the gal at the front desk about the prior night and said she'd talk to a manager for us. She was sweet , wish she would have been working the night before.

On our last visit, we stayed in room 431. It had an smell that I can describe only as "wet dog." We had been traveling for about 20 hours and were too tired to change rooms, so we said nothing, but thought you would like to know. Our other visits to your hotel have all been very nice, but we were disappointed this time.

First off, PERFECT location for seeing a concert!!! Shuttle is great! Checking in was a little of a nightmare! Line was all the way out the door. Staff was very friendly and tried their best. The one thing I noticed was online it says check-in 3:00 but at desk it reads 4:00. That was a lot of the confusion.
After returning to hotel following concert, we were unable to take the elevators due to some problem. So having to take the stairs to the top floor, after being at the concert for over 6 hours, was rough! At least one elevator was running the next morning, which made getting our belongings down easier!

A friend & I spent 2 nights at the motel & never had a problem. The bed was comfortable & the room was noise proof. The shuttle was great; we went to concerts at Verizon on both nights. The second night we decided to walk back because there were quite a few people waiting for it & the concert was a sold out show so the traffic was slow moving even though the shuttle gets to cut through the traffic. We felt safe walking back; everything was well lit & other people were walking too. The patio area by the pond is nice & the turtles in the pond are cute. We sat by the pool all day Saturday which was fantastic & had Emo's deliver us lunch. The only disappointment we had was that there was not a mini fridge in the room. I will definitely book here again for the next concert at Verizon.

I have stayed at this property several times, and it has always been a wonderful experience. I especially wanted to highlight three staff members, Terri, Sierra, and Sara, who are all top notch! I asked Sierra where I could drive to find a charger for my phone. She and Terri immediately started looking around for a charger that I could borrow. They provided it to me and saved me a trip out in an unknown city. Thank you so much!! I really like Sara at the front desk too. These women are so friendly and helpful!

From the moment you walk into the hotel the staff aims to please. Everyone was courteous and went the extra mile to make sure I had an awesome stay. Everyone was genuinely nice and very helpul. The room itself was pristine, clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good as well. When I return to St. Louis I will definitely return to this hotel. My one small complaint is that parking was lacking a bit but we later found out there was more parking in the back. If I ranked my stay out of 100 i would give this hotel a 99/100.

We chose this location to be close to Verizon Ampitheater, and overall, it was a good experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were OK for the price we paid. The hotel is showing a bit of wear, but we found it to be very acceptable. Breakfast was better than expected, though lacking a choice of some fruit for those who want something besides industrial eggs and bacon. Though we walked to the concert from the hotel, they do put on extrra shuttles to the concert and it appeared to me that everyone who rode was able to get over and back quickly and comfortably. If you choose to walk, it's longer than a "short walk", but certainly a comfortable walk. There are not many restaurants in the immediate area, though there is a Wendys and a Subway. A little more driving will open up your options considerably for dining. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel is conveniently located off of Earth City Parkway and is about 10 minutes from St. Louis Lambert Airport---which is where I do business. It is 5-10 minutes from most of my favorite dining establishments. The hotel was clean. I liked the pool and fountains out back, where you couls sit in the shade of an umbrella table and be right at the water's edge. It was like being just outside the city, but close enough to sleep a little later.

As a Platinum Priority Rewards member, I've had many opportunities to both complain and compliment a property. I like the fact that the GM for this location was not only visible, she was asking guests about their stay. Nice. Front desk associates were helpful with recommendations for local travel as well.

My family and I stayed for 3 days. The hotel was very accommodating and friendly. We were allowed to check in early and offered breakfast. They have pond in the back of hotel filled turtles; my little one loved to feed them each morning. The room and common areas were clean. We felt safe during our stay. I would most definitely stay again!
Also, location was right off highway making travel and sightseeing easy.

I love HIE. This stay, I only stayed for one night and the staff surprised me with an upgrade from a standard queen room to a king Suite that I didn't even ask for. I didn't know until I got to my room. I was really satisfied.

We were staying here because we were flying out of St. Louis the next morning. The room was nice and clean. The only problem was that our key wouldnt work and maintenance had to come up and fix the door. The lady behind the desk was very patient and pleasant with this situation. I would definitely come again.
Breakfast choices did not apply to us because we had to leave at around 5 a.m. to get to the airport.

The front desk people are not very knowledgeable. We reserved a king room, but were given 2 doubles. The agent apologized when we showed him our confirmation and offered to give us a 50% discount. Upon check out and receiving our bill for the full amount, we were told they would NEVER give such a discount. We received a few dollars off. We were also told the airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes without being called. After waiting 30+ minutes at the airport, we finally called for a pick up. The room was very outdated and the shuttle bus was an antique. It was a very frustrating, confusing stay at a hotel desperately in need of updating.

Nice, clean and comfortable room. Nice patio area outside to enjoy a drink or two before taking the free shuttle to the concert at Riverport. Shuttle service was friendly and fast. We walked back to hotel after the concert and was not a bad walk. Lots of turtles in the pond out back to feed! Great stay.

Initial check-in. The clerk was too busy talking with other hotel staff to give her full attention to my wife and I as we checked in. She did the job efficiently enough but her lack of personal attention in favor of her chit-chat bordered on being rude. Also, there was no acknowledgement of our priority club membership and no welcome gift that I have received at other HE hotels.
The hotel itself shows some signs of age and a busy hard existence given it's location with evidence of dirt along the carpet edges.
Either the sheets on the bed or the laundering process or something caused me to feel itchy and the pillow cases had the odor I'd associate with industrial laundry - which I suppose it is but I've experienced much nicer sheets and pillows in other hotel including other HE express hotels. The breakfast was OK but not great. On the plus side the room was large and quiet (top floor - no one stomping above us) with clean bathroom and good water pressure in shower. The included parking and shuttle for airport were great and the shuttle drivers were excellent and pickup service on our return was very fast.
