My husband needed a refrigerator for some medicine and it was kindly provided. Breakfast was very nice and the dining room area was clean and well appointed. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there when we come to St. Louis! May 14, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed with room condition Based on prior great experiences at Holiday Inn Express locations, my wife and I searched out this location after a long day on the road. We checked into room 225 on the evening of May 5, 2014. Although we didn't request one, the desk clerk put us in a limited mobility room, which really wasn't a problem. After settling into our room, and then gong out for dinner, we later discovered that the sliding door to the bathroom was completely off the track. To partially close the door, you had to physically drag it across the carpet, and then it would only close part way. We had been on the road 14 hours this day, so decided to live with that. A short time before retiring we discovered that the control on the A/C unit really did nothing to change the temp in the room; no matter where you set it, the output stayed the same...warmer than preferred. At this point, all we wanted to do was sleep, so we put up with that as well. The next morning I found that the shower wouldn't fully shut off after use. The water ran slowly until my wife got up later and showered, and it continued to run after that. When we went down for breakfast, I advised the desk clerk, and he noted all these things in a booklet. Later, upon check out, the clerk asked how our stay was and I again advised him of our various issues with the room. There was no offer to adjust the price of the room or anything else, simply a comment that if we'd told them the night before, they would have tried to put us in a different room. (The night before, after 14 hours on the road, the last thing we wanted to do at 11:00 pm was move into another room!) We generally find Holiday Inn Express to be a great stay and good value, but we will never stay at this one again. May 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 The hotel room was dirty I stay in Holiday Inn Express a lot this was one of the worse. The room carpet was dirty still can't get my white socks clean. The breakfast although standard for HI Expresses was very poor eggs was burnt, the hard boiled eggs was frozen solid, the bread extremely stale and the coffee was cold. May 8, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor hotel I stay in a fair number of HI hotels for business, ect. This was the worst HIE I've ever stayed at. The reason for this was a combination of poor service and dirty rooms. Our friends stayed there the same night and were told that the double room they'd reserved for two couples (four people) had been given to someone who'd extended their stay, and that a room with a single queen and and extremely small and uncomfortable pull out love seat. Upon entering the room, blood and hair was found on the bed sheets. The hotel receptionist refused to provide new sheets, explaining that there was no manager on duty to perform this function. After enduring all of this, youd think the room rate would at least be comped. Guess again. This is not the kind of experience any of us expected from past HIE stays. We are traveling back to the St. Louis area several times this summer and will definitely not be staying here. April 24, 2014

Therefore, after using IHG Ambassador card for check in, was still not acknowledged with status or affiliation. Upon check out, there was not a receipt under door. Therefore, went to front desk to notify of check out and to request receipt. April 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay This hotel is great, as long as you overlook the dated rooms. Pride and customer service is evident and the management is spoken of highly by the staff. All I can figure is that corporate has not given them the budget to replace wallcoverings and carpets...and that is too bad. I would not take a meet a client there that had to be impressed, but otherwise, OVERLOOK THE SHORTCOMINGS AND HAVE A GREAT STAY! April 18, 2014

Hotel sits by a quiet pond - and a Dave & Buster's restaurant is a short walk from the lobby. Special Note: On selected mid-week nights - there was a "manager's reception" with light food and adult beverages. Certainly not expected - but a pleasant amenity offered by the friendly and professional staff. Adequate business center on-site. April 11, 2014

Once again, the front desk staff was genuinely friendly, and interacted with us in a professional and courteous manner. The evening reception was a nice touch, as it provided an opportunity for our group to gather and unwind before heading out to dinner. The continental breakfast was ready for us before we had to leave at 4am, a perfect start to the long journey we would begin that morning. The shuttle service was on-time and efficient for our group of 10 travelers. This particular property is an example of how a HIE should operate. April 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Park/Fly substandard This hotel is fine. I like Holiday Inn Express. The room was very comfortable and clean. Internet access worked well in my room though I heard at the desk they were having problems. I would not recommend this hotel if your main purpose is to park and fly. There is only one van and it is used for other purposes than transportation to the airport. Thus we waited over 45 minutes at the airport to be picked up while watching vans from other hotels come and go numerous times. Then when it finally got there, there were so many waiting for it that there wasn't room for all. It's also difficult to enter for those with mobility issues. I had a 3 1/2 hour drive home at night that I could have been on the road at least an hour earlier if I'd stayed somewhere else. April 6, 2014

The hotel has only one shuttle driver. Wait time for airport pickup to go to the hotel was an hour for our group. Beds are very comfortable; hallways are quiet. April 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel. Nice Price. This stay here was great. For what we paid, the staff and services were quite good. We didn't run into a single grumpy staff member. Our room, bedding, and bath were much cleaner than the average hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff was right on any shortages. The in-room coffee and shampoo, etc was excellent. The room was quiet. If I were to make a recommendation, I'd suggest having the fan in the AC unit controllable by the guest. As it was, it cycled off and on all night. I would have preferred to have it run (continually and quietly) between heat or cool cycles. Additionally, the TV fare was limited. Some labelled channels showed empty of content. A microwave and fridge would also have been nice. The internet seemed to be heavily used and a bit slow. Overall, a very good experience. April 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay at this hotel while visiting the St Charles, Mo area I stayed at this hotel with 3 of my friends and we all really enjoyed our stay. I was greeted by Sandy Schafer who was very friendly and really helpful at the front desk when we checked in. The shuttle service to the surrounding area was fantastic! It was very busy during our stay and despite the lines, the kitchen staff kept the food coming out. It was a great place to stay during our trip to the St Charles, Mo area. March 26, 2014
