Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff The reservation process was so easy and I received the type of room I wanted. The front desk crew, especially Sandy, are friendly and helpful. We check out early in the morning and are so grateful that coffe and bread are on the breakfast bar even before the published hours. We stay here every year and have always had a good experience. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Meh Pretty much a disappointment compared to all of the other HIX hotels at which I've stayed. The receptionist was friendly enough but managed to send us up to the wrong room TWICE. The rooms are somewhat shabby and stuffy, and as other reviewers have stated, the fans are overly loud which made sleeping a little difficult. Location is good for the airport-bound, however we were traveling by car and learned upon checking in that the only dinner venue that was close by was a horribly overpriced Dave & Buster's two buildings down; the location in an office park means getting back on & over the highway to find other food options. Breakfast was very good with cheerful folks on duty. Overall, nice people but the building is not up the the standards that I've come to expect from HIX. June 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Worth It. This was an average property. Our room wasn't cleaned the first day for some reason, and overall cleanliness was just adequate. Room decor was a bit dated. The breakfast was great and breakfast area was very nice! The pool facility was VERY nice. But closed 1 hour before posted time. June 21, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tornado The Staff at the ST. LOUIS AIRPORT- RIVERPORT hotel was great! I was there during the tornado and your staff handled the event well. I'm a grandmother and had my 2 grand-daughters with me. The next morning the front desk man helped me with their breakfast. All of them from the lady at the front desk...the lady in the dining room to the manger. They all made me feel better about the event. My girls are 12 and 7 years old and both were very excited about our hotel stay we were on our way to Warrensburg Mo where my son attends college. The 7 yr old is a little scared now but I hope to take her somewhere again and will pick the Holiday Inn Express. I have stayed here before and has always been a great stay. June 6, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to standard The night clerk was not very friendly or helpful. Was engaged in conversation with boyfriend. Night clerk did not give us our AAA discount on bill as she said she would. Very nice morning clerk redid our bill with discount. No refrig in room, one was brought in and set on the floor. Went to vending machines on first and second floor for ice, finally down to desk and was told there were machines on 3, 4, and 5. Should be a sign indicating where ice is at. Just not up to standards of the usual H. I. Express which we always have used when we travel. May 28, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trip to Holiday Inn Express, Riverport, St. Louis We have stayed in a variety of Holiday Inn Express's and have found St. Louis Holiday Inn Express's initial contact with our Desk attendant the most welcoming, friendliest, most courteous of any Holiday Inn we have stayed at. I have been a priority club member since 1999. We arrived at the St. Louis airport at 11:52 am, was picked up by a courteous, friendly, welcoming driver who visited with us as we traveled to the motel. We were ahead of check-in time, but when asked about availability, they had a room already available so we could check-in continue with our visit to the St Louis area. We were meeting a classmate, whom we had never met, and together through our itinerary we had planned made this a great trip. Keep up the good work, St. Louis Airport, Riverport Holiday Inn Express, everything else was excellent as well! May 19, 2013

We enjoyed our room and the hospitality of the staff. We had a very early morning flight before breakfast hours began. The front desk advised us that an abbreviated breakfast was available to us before we left for the airport. We really appreciated that! The airport shuttled driver was prompt and on time. On our return, he dropped us off with our luggage at our car. This was a great overall experience! April 28, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Low priority airport shuttle service The room was ok. A bit old but clean enough. Not bad for one night stay before catching a plane ride the next day. The bad part was the airport shuttle service. It's suppose to take guests to the airport in a timely manner but instead it took other guests to the offices in the airport neighborhood beore dropping those guests including me who needed to be at the airport at certain time!! It took 40min from the hotel to dopping off at the airport instead of just 15 min as it was supposed to be!! This caused me grief because I almst missed my flight!! The hotel shuld have dedicated the highest priority of this shuttle service to the airport then office people. I am just disappointed!! March 17, 2013

I traveled for business and others in my group mentioned the same thing. I woke up around the clock everytime it kicked on. Also, the channels for ESPN had a bad connection. The feed kept fading out. All other channels seemed to be fine. Finally, 2 of the 4 machines in the fitness center didn't work at all or portions of the equipment didn't work March 14, 2013

The maintainence, room service, food service, front desk, and General Manager teams are all on the same page with EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Even the painter on staff late at night offered to assist me with anything I may need or want. To top it of, it's only moments from the airport BUT in a wonderful! Upscale business park! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unreliable wifi This is the second time I've stayed at this property, and the first time was much better. I had a room on the 2nd floor and consistently had troubles connecting to wifi while I was there. I called down to the front desk the first night, and the person said they were aware of an issue and it would be fixed the next day, and offered to move me. Since I had already unpacked and hung my work clothes I didn't feel like moving, and since she said it would be fixed the next day I thought it would be a non-issue. The only problem is I had nothing but problems with wifi the entire time I was there. Very disappointing, I would avoid rooms entirely on the 2nd floor. The other thing I didn't like was the stuff on the desks. One reason I like HIE properties is the large desk in the room. This desk had the phone, microwave, coffee maker, tray, ice bucket, and glassed on the desk, which would have made the work area tiny. I put all these on the floor, but a stand or another outlet near the fridge would have worked much better. Overall hotel is nice, location is good, but some small things they need to improve.
