This was my 3rd visit to this property. Grady, the bellman was most welcoming and helpful. April helped me find places to eat and the mall. I was greated at a priority club member and enjoyed the evening get together.
This is a lovely hotel, with a great, helpful staff.

The Crowne Plaza was an excellent place to stay!! The room was beautiful! The staff were great and the free buffet breakfast was the best!! I would highly recomment the Crowne Plaza to everyone!!!

Excellent for our stay during my daughter's wedding. All the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Our rooms were lovely and the lobby was absolutely perfect for family pictures. The breakfast was superb.

I stay at this property most every Wed night. The property is clean, the front desk personnel are very personable, and the restaruant/concierege/managers are true professionals. They are truly dedicated to their jobs. If you have stayed there at all, you may have had the pleasure of meeting "Pete" in the restaurant. He is the owner and I have seen him as early as 6:30 am in the restaurant meeting and talking to guests. That says alot about this propery when the owner is there that early checking with guests to see if their stay was great. In the mornings, Will makes a killer omlette and Peggy is a GREAT server. When she sees me walk in, she always has my drink at my table before I an ever tell her good morning. I would recommned this property to anyone who is in the STL area. You won't be disappointed!!

This Hotel in in a great location if you want to get out for a walk. Plenty of choices for food if you feel leaving. If you stay they have the grill right on the property with great food for any meal from morning till night. The staff is awsome from the manager Steven and Dorris , wil the cook and mary the server.

I am partial to Crown Plaza hotels when I travel, and, this one did not disappoint. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. They provide excellent service, and make you feel at home with a warm welcome every time you return to the hotel! This Crown Plaza will be my #1 choice any time I visit St. Louis.

the staff we met were polite.cortious,and profesional.The rooms were small,cold, and not at all as pictured at booking. I checked in at the front desk,recieved little instruction,and went to spend the evening with family. After returning, late in evening,and parking our auto,we went to the door we were instructed to use to find it locked, and our room key would not work as it was suposed to. luckly I had a cell phone, called front desk and wait in the freezing weather for him to come from the desk to let us in. Arriving at the room discovered it to be cold,with cold hard floors,and a bath the size of a small closet. Not at all as pictured! Would not have stayed had I looked at the room earler. WE were also charged aditional fees at check in "were told for incidentals and would be refunded" if no aditional services.

Overall, I think this property is a good value. The location is convenient and away from downtown. The neighborhood feels safe. I was upgraded to a suite which was nice. The one downside was the construction that starts at 7 AM. I was not aware of this (nor was I told by the front desk). I would have requested a room in the "quiet zone" had I known.

As per the title, this was one of the best hotel experiences that I've had in years. I travel frequently and am an Ambassador Club member. The staff at this hotel was amazingly accommodating for my family. We were able to get an upgrade to a 2 room suite in the older of their two towers. The elevators were the only thing that showed noticeable age, but they worked fine. The staff provided breakfast buffet passes, water bottles, and made special arrangements for our vehicle with a rooftop carrier. They were also exceptionally courteous and asked multiple times if we needed any type of assistance.
The kids loved the free arcade and we saw other families enjoying the indoor/outdoor pool. There was also a Starbucks within walking distance to help support our morning coffee habits.
The next time we have a reason to be in Saint Louis, we will surely stay here.

The check in process was quick and very helpful. The check in attendant went above and beyond. He followed up to make sure the rooms were to our standards and recommendations. The rooms were comfortable and exceptional. Being a priority club member I am used to welcome packages but at this hotel they only give it to platinum members. Other than that,it was an outstanding experience.

The hotel is old and dated. Many of the furniture and fixtures appeared to have been WELL USED. Not at all what I was expecting from a Crown Plaza.
The room really needed a good vacuuming. There were bits of a opened plastic bag (of some sort) around the couch and the carpet had bits of something (not to sure what) still loose on the top.
I was not at all pleased, but as I was there with a guest, I did not wish to make a issue.
The light switch for the bathroom as on the OUTSIDE in the bedroom. Not at all conducive for using the facility when the bedroom as dark.
Add to this it was 9:15am and the house keeping was knocking on the door asking to clean the room. Don't they usually wait until after checkout time at least?

we booked last minute and we could tell! the room they put us in was on the main hallway so every drunk person that passed our room we could hear! not very good in the way of soundproofing! the room had one of the noisiest air conditioning units that we had ever come across and it kept my husband up half of the night! in waking up and checking out the next morning everything went okay but once i got home i noticed a rash starting to form on my body. next thing i knew i had a full body and quite itchy rash! i called to ask what they could do in the way of compensation since their sheets caused this reaction due to the fact that the products they use to wash their sheets are not completely hypoallergenic (they use a Tide (non-hypoallerginic) stain remover to make the sheets whiter & brighter) and the manager of operations told me that they weren't going to do anything to compensate me for added expenses on my end due to the fact that i then had to go to a dermatologist to get medicine for the rash to go away!!! overall experience was terrible and my husband and I are never staying at their hotel ever again! TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE! :(

If you are on the top floor, you may get a somewhat decent nights sleep. The manager here is fantastic, as is the door man and all the maid staff. Some of the people checking guests in could use some personality and less attitude. My first time here I mentioned 3 times that I was a platinum member and the girl looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. My 1st room was the size of a closet, and reeked of fresh paint. Some of the furniture was still askew from the recent paint job. When the manager came up to take me to a new room, and realized I was a platinum member he gave me my upgrade(seriously the only perk) and moved me to a beautiful room on the top floor. My boss unfortunately did not recieve the same luxury and mentioned the walls were like paper...2nd visit I decided to give this place another try....not the best idea....this time on a mid floor, room was clean, nice, except for the gap around the ac unit which made it seem like you were on the 1st floor of an NYC hotel with the windows open...you could hear everything going on outside. The noise from surrounding rooms was terrible...you could here everyones every move. Worst sleep ever. Will not stay here again...

Additionally - short walks to excellent restaurants in Clayton including Remy's.

From the moment I arrived until I received this survey, I feel like I was cared for, looked after and respected as a customer of your hotel. The valet, bellman, front desk clerks, Club personnel, and restaurant waitstaff were consistently asking me how my stay was and if I needed anything. One day I was turned around looking for the correct elevator from the parking garage. Seems like a simple thing but another staff member did not belittle me but simply walked me to the garage.
This is the experience that has been lost on many hotels today. Thank you for a very pleasant experience!

I would definitely not recommend this property as there is very little value. The rooms are old and very sterile. I was told that I was upgraded to a room with a tub and shower and the shower height barely reached my chest. The water pressure was equal to that of a really drippy faucet. The ammenities were not great either. The restaurant was really poor. Specifically, the breakfast was not very good. The food was either under cooked or over cooked. The fitness center was decent which was the highlight of the stay. If you are looking for a place to sleep this place will fit that definition. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

This hotel is a bit tired - but boy the staff is sure trying their best to make the most of it. Some rooms are nice, some are a bit small - most have been updated.
If you are a Priority Club member, be sure to check out the club lounge for breakfast and cocktails. This experience and service alone goes a long ways to compensating some of the hotels other shortcomings.

What an outstanding property you have!!!!
Location: Excellent/Convenient to where I was visiting.
Front Desk: Super Excellent....Eric was so professional and so easy to talk with. He's a keeper. Keep him....there are NOT alot of Eric's out there.....
Best: Pet Friendly. My daughter had her dog with her. She felt very welcome. The beds were so comfy. The housekeeper was so friendly. The gym.....awesome.
I will be back. My sister lives in St. Louis and your property and all if offers makes me want to re-visit.
I have been in the hotel business for many years in the boston area so I am very critical or rather I know what to look for and I must say....YOU DO EVERYTHING RIGHT.
Thank you so much !!!!

We had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving. The staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was delicious -- especially the omelet bar. We will be back!

Breakfasts were great...
...too noisy to take an afternoon nap; the swing out door locks keep slamming all afternoon, as they are being used to keep doors open for easy access for housekeeping to clean the rooms...
...perhaps soft bumpers could be used instead, to avoid the unnecessary annoyance.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times over the past years and enjoyed it. This time not so much... It started with checking in. The reception clerk did not present herself well. Her attitude and appreance was not what you would expect at this quality hotel. She was short with her tone of voice when I asked her to repeat direction to our room she rolled her eyes and repeated her memorized speech...
The hotel in apprearance is just flat worn out..... The decor is like you are back in the 80's and never been cleaned or updated. The maid service was very pleasant and helpful though......

When I asked the attendant at the door about valet parking, he promptly replied that they did not offer valet parking . The man standing next to him, once he saw the look on my face, corrected him saying he thought they did offer valet and that it was 'around $19'. This did not inspire my confidence that I would actually get my car back.
I paid over $40 for two hamburgers with a shared order of cheese fries and two soft drinks. They didn't even bring the regular fries that I was supposed to get with my order. $40 was a little much, wouldn't you agree?
FREE HOT BREAKFAST
The food was okay but the staff reminded us constantly about how busy they were. When I asked about eating utensils, the obviously aggravated attendant grabbed a couple of wrapped utensils from a nearby table. Later the same attendant was complaining that she had to clean up some drops of coffee on the floor left by one of the guests.
The rooms in the section where I was staying had hard surfaced floors. Although this is not in the control of the hotel, I had to listen to the people on the floor above scooting chairs around until about 1am.

This was a very good accommodation. Very comfortable room with excellent service. The people at the desk were super friendly and even loaned me a pair of pliers when I had to fix my luggage zipper! Also, you can print out your airline tickets right there in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was on the whole excellent. The oatmeal was a slightly thin for my taste, but, eggs, sausages, french toast and coffee were all delicious.
It is in a very nice part of Clayton - which is not saying much because all of Clayton is very nice, but it is in a convenient area of Clayton's small but prosperous and attractive downtown area.

I stayed at this hotel during the week while I was in town for a baseball game. The hotel is in a safe, clean area just 15 minutes outside of downtown St. Louis. Clayton is definitely a business district, but the restaurants are not part of any chains and are all exceptional! The MetroLink was only a block away from the hotel - and for $5 to get to Busch Stadium and back, you can't beat it.
Every staff member I came in contact smiled and said hello, asked how I was doing, if I needed help finding anything, etc. Everyone at the reception desk was wonderful and went above and beyond during my stay. The free breakfast in the morning isn't your typical free breakfast. They have an omelet station and the food selection was much better than what I'm used to. I will definitely be back!

I had stayed at this property quite a few times in years past. This past experience was below standard. Front desk had wrong priority club level, did not get an upgrade (platinum member). did not get the club level as all times before. Room supplies including kleenex were not stock after first night. Resturant dirty.
Will not stay here again.
