Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet oasis in a college town With the college only a couple miles away and a busy plaza nearby, the hotel was a quiet oasis. The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly, andeverything was so clean and neat. It was a bonus that there were so many good restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay there again and the Holiday Inn Express brand has never let me down in any location. November 21, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy in "Happy Valley" Hi- My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the Penn State vs UMass football game in September. I was a little concerned about the hotel from a few of the reviews, but I was totally satisfied w/our room. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was GREAT. Unfortunately, I did have one issue, but it was taken care of immiediately. I do believe Ben #M# was the person who took care of it. He didn't wait for housekeeping or even think it was beyond his job description. By the time I returned from my errand, it was all taken care of and I really appreciated that he didn't pass the responsibility on to someone else. That's what I call, customer service. I do regret no sharing my experience immediately, because I forgot the young lady who checked us in. She was very helpful, her personality was very upbeat and she's from JERSEY, so that was also a plus. :-) We currently have an upcoming stay for the Michigan State game and I don't think the level of service will be any different. The location works for us and because of our previous stay here, we found a go-to nail salon that we will be using when we come for visits. Thanks! November 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great location and value Truly enjoyed our night at this Holiday Inn Express @ Williamsburg Square in State College...Arrived early and was given a lovely king room with a sofa. This extra room makes our stay more tolerable. The bed had four(4) pillows with various firmness to assure a pleasant nights sleep. With only a walk in shower, there was no high stepping needed to enter it. A nice add on was an extra vanity and sink outside of the bathroom area...my only issue with all public bathrooms are the toilets are positioned way too low for my comfort. A nice hot and cold breakfast was provided with a variety of fresh fruits and entrees to satisfy any hungry guests. Within walking distance was the Olive Garden and Outback restaurants making this a perfect location. Even a shopping mall was across the street with anchor stores like Kohls and Target...a little bit of heaven for all. November 18, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Valley The hotel and staff were very good. When i went to the dinning area for breakfast at 6:30 am i found it was not ready. When i checked with the front desk he commented the person was running late. At 7:00 am i checked again and the breakfast was still not ready. Couldn't wait any longer as it appeared many of the other customers couldn't, off to work. November 10, 2014
