We stayed for only one night during a road trip, and found the service to be excellent, the room very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the environment quiet for a good night's sleep. Having breakfast in the morning conveniently available with a good selection of breakfast items was also a plus. This will definitely be our preferred location of overnight stays in the Statesville area.

We arrived tired and frazzled at 7:30 pm after the usual traffic mess north of Charlotte. There was a box of cookies in the lobby, a very comfortable room and very friendly staff members. After a refreshing sleep and a hot shower, there was a lavish breakfast . available in the morning. We went on our way renewed in mind and body.

We stayed here on our way home from Florida with our kids/grandkids. I would rate everything as excellent except that the pancake machine was out of order, and I like pancakes. Room and staff were excellent, pool and exercise room very nice, and most definitely would stay here again.

I've stayed at this property before. However, for a HI Express property I was a little surprised at the overflowing trash can at the front vestibule of the main entrance. Even more surprised that it had not been cleaned-up by 8:45 the following morning. Some employee had to off entered work by the front door. Half the lights on the front overhang burned out also. Not a good first impression.
This next part of the review is aimed to corporate. Sadly, it is not the first time I've written, complained, or commented about it. Now it is just getting annoying. Judging by other customer reviews they are irritated also. What is up with your pancake machines? No exaggeration here...they are broke/out of order more times than not! Just remove them from service.

This is our 4th year that we have traveled from NY to Florida and back. We stop at this wonderful hotel down and back and always know what to expect - cleanliness, friendliness, comfortable bed and good breakfast! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

After a long drive from Port Canaveral, it was great to find a clean, bright, friendly place to stop for the night. We did not have a reservation but were efficiently given a large comfortable room. Check out was equally efficient with the staff genuinely concerned we had a comfortable stay.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels this in my opinion was one of the best but is more pricey than others. It is my place of choice to stay.

We stayed here on our way from CT to our place in FL and a 8 days later on the way back. We were very pleased with the comfort and service.
We also appreciate the integrity of the staff. We left some important items of my wife's in the room on the first visit, and when we asked about them on the way back they handed them too us. Gotta love that! It also got me out of the doghouse since I had checked the room last to make sure we had everything.
One complaint, when I had called the number on my reservation it said it was not in service. Ok, no harm no foul.
I have to say, as much as I appreciate the free hot breakfast, after the first dozen times it gets a little old. But it's still a good value and better than most.
I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone.

the air conditioning unit in my room rattled whenever it was on the ENTIRE time it was on. Other than that, the room was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and assured me they would have the unit looked into. (I didn't complain that night, cuz I was just too tired and a pillow over the head shut out most of the rattle) I would stay at this location again in the future.

I recently stayed just after the new year and it wasn't a good time to be there i guess. I travel quite a bit for work and usually have no problems with my stays as a priority club member, this was not the case this time. Unfortunately I got stuck with nothing but screaming kids on both sides of me and people above me stomping around partying until 3 am. I called the front desk two different times to get no answer. End result was me getting up for work at 5 am on very little sleep which did not help with my work output. I will obviously continue to stay with holiday inns due to traveling for work because I know I was at the wrong place at the wrong time I guess.

If we could only judge the hotel by the facilities, we wouldn't have had an issue at all. But when we approached the front desk with an issue concerning the pool, they clearly did not care. We drove 7 hours to this specific hotel so our kids could swim. AFTER checking in and rushing down to the pool with 3 wee little ones we were introduced to signage informing us that the pool heater was broke. We tried to get in but it was too cold. I think that's an issue. Especially when we paid $130 for the pool service and bribed our kids to behave with that carrot.
Needless to say, the front desk morning manager did not think it was an issue. They had legally fulfilled their obligation by having the pool open. ???
These people do not care. Not a refund, not a discounted rate...nothing. I didn't even get an authentic, " I am sorry Mr. Logan...our bad"
Don't go to this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times without incident but our last visit was bad enough to make it our last. For the first time ever at any Holiday Inn property, we experienced a very unfriendly staff. I did not feel welcome there and will not return. Every encounter we had with the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, the staff was unfriendly and sometimes even rude. I should say there was one exception, and that was the sweet lady that helps out with the breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and personable. The attendant in the dining area was very efficient and helpful.
The only issues we had while staying at this hotel was the road construction that was going on during the night. We remedied that with turning on the fan to CONSTANT to have white noise throughout the night. We slept well.
The other issue, our phones were out for our 2 night stay. Could not get wake-up calls. The issue was not addressed promptly. Glad we had cell phones.
The issues would not prevent me from returning to this hotel.

The reservations clerk greets you in a warm and friendly manner. We were thanked for being Priority Club members and offered an arrival package. There were fresh baked cookies in the lobby. The stay was perfect from arrival to checkout. We have stayed there previously and will continue to do so.

We arrived without a reservation but Allison was quick to find us a room and look up our Priority Club account so we would not miss out on the points. She was knowledgeable about local restaurants also which kept us from wasting time looking for closed establishments.
All in all a good experience.

I go to Statesville, NC for business travel about once per month. And I always now stay at your hotel. I wanted to let someone know that the service that I receive from the front desk staff is ALWAYS terrific. From calling in while I am driving there to arrival. I am a business owner myself and I really pay attention to other business' and how the staff interacts with myself and others. I wish that I could tell you a name of one of the women that is always so nice and pleasant each and everytime that I go there. However, remembering names for this guy is aweful...lol. Anyway, look up my last stay in Statesville, NC and see who was working when I checked in around 9PM. And relay this survey to her please. She is wonderful and if my business was where she was. She would be working for me! Thank you for your time and the great service. I am actually typing this from another Holiday Inn Express in WV right now
