Breakfast was fresh with standard items offered and well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a good stay. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not up to Holiday Inn standards Holiday Inn on the sign but run like a Super 8 ... many things need repair or cleaning. Poor breakfast choices, some completely missing. Card readers need replacing, dirt and trash in stairwells, etc. Best to use the Hampton when in this area. November 2, 2013

All the hotels were booked for the Family weekend months in advance, I took a chance and tried one more time and was lucky enough to reserve the last room available. Lucky for us it was the Presidental Suite. It was so nice and clean. I have never stayed in such a nice room. This is where we will stay from now on. October 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Would stay again! A very pleasant experience. It was a very busy facility due to multiple weddings and other town activities yet the staff and facility were way above average. The facility was spotless, my room was well appointed for my needs and comfortable. Easy access to the elevator, ice and drink machine (important for handicapped) the complimentary breakfast was fresh and resupplied constantly. The staff was very professional, courteous and went the extra mile for any request. I have some special needs and they couldn't have been more helpful always inquiring if there was anything else they could do for me. I was well please for a facility of this type. It was wonderful, the staff was excellent, as this was my first trip to this area of Texas. They helped get me aquatinted with the town and area. I was dropping my baby off at the local university, Tarleton State University. This is 800 miles from our home, so it was a hard thing to do! I ended up staying an extra day, and the staff was very helpful with my stay. Our son came down from his university, Texas A&M to see his sisters freshman convocation, he stayed here at the hotel. He experienced vehicle trouble, and the hotel manager helped out in a big way, when he did not have to do so! He and his staff were extremely helpful, made us feel like family! We will be staying at this hotel when we visit our daughter at Tarleton! It was a beautiful room, comfortable beds, great roomy bathroom, excellent water pressure in shower, and very nice breakfast with complementary newspapers!! September 2, 2013

Tanner checked several times to be sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were great and everything was exactly as advertised. This is our first time to use Holiday Inn Express but we were so pleased we booked our reunion for 2 more years in advance. You need a sign on the highway so travelers can find you. August 25, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by unfortunatly the only holiday inn in town tanner was great-that's the end of the good news-front desk not staffed they have a button to push for service it didn't work with 5 try's- while standing at the front desk I called the hotel thinking some one would answer but no it rang both times until the phone signaled busy- finally went and found a cleaning person who spoke no English I tried to get her to understand there was nobody at the front desk must have gotten close because after I left her in the laundry room she walked behind the front desk looking for someone but only the growing group of customers were present. Finally some guy showed up as if he was doing us a favor. He maid it very clear that we were trying to check in 25 minutes early but after a short wait he offered to send us to a room that just needed towels wrong the room had never been touched so after another short wait he sent us to another room We arrived in our room and found about what you would expect from 2 star motel mold around the tub dirty etc. the following morning we went to the pool to hot tube for a while oops they don't have one they do in fact have a pool - this particular day it had a shoe floating in it and some other clothes and empty beer can cigarette butts etc. scattered about -we didn't swim August 18, 2013

Another fine front desk person was Conner who assisted us during our stay. The housekeeping ladies we interacted with were always smiling and ready to assist in any way they could. Everyone was very cooperative in seeing to our needs and making our stay very pleasant. August 2, 2013

I felt that us checking in at almost 2 in the morning and our frequency would be liable be the best/least rate. LOVE this hotel and the staff!! We are from Houston and travel often to Stephenville so we will be staying at this hotel frequently. **Conner gave me a bottled water for being a prority club member...Anthony did not the night before**** June 21, 2013

There were also children running up and down halls on the Second Story, due to vibration of the floor . Being a Holiday Weekend the place was just about deserted. June 3, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overall service Used my Priority Club points to pay for this room and it said on the web site that I would get a "standard room " .Every other room that I booked using my Reward points told me what type of room was avaible ,but not Stephenville! When I went to check in I was asked what type of room I wanted and was told that since I was using Reward points to pay for my room that they waited till checkin to find what type of room was needed.We stayed on New Year's Eve and New Years Day ,one the first day even though we left the room around 12 noon the room was not cleaned and the next night we put the sleeping late sign on the door and my wife was awakened at around 10 am by house keeping ,the girl did'nt understand english and called another housekeeper and this one was not much help either.My wife dressed,gathered her luggage and checked out and told the woman at the front desk what happened The front desk lady that I spoke to said that the girls usually don't do that.We won't stay again ,I am still waiting for the Manager to call me as promised!
