Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SoccerMom4 Comfy, large room, yummy breakfast!
Our room was huge with comfy bed and chairs. Suggest more outlets by bed (I had to unplug lamp to plug my phone in over night). Breakfast was wonderful with many hot & cold choices. Very happy with turkey sausage, bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee & juice choices. Very crowded breakfast room meant some of our group had to take a tray back to room.
Headed down to pool only to see two 12 y/o boys ahead of us...it is too small of a pool for that kind of sharing. Almost ran out of toilet paper...one full, one almost empty was not enough for comfort.

great hotel for the money - clean room; great breakfast with variety every day. Unfortunately our floor had some guests that were not considerate of the rest of the people - not the hotels problem!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pet Friend06 Pet Friendly
I appreciated this being a pet friendly hotel. However, in past experiences there were rooms that were designated for pets. Our room was assigned to us before I mentioned we had a dog. (although I had mentioned it when making a reservation, it had not been noted). It was not changed, even though I asked if we should have a different room. Our dog did not bark, but I would not appreciate being next one who did--particularly if we did not have a pet. Also, anyone who had pet allergies could be affected by being in a room previously occupied by people with pets.
I think this should be looked into.
Designated pet rooms are usually on first floor with easy exit access. We were on third, and sometimes startled people we met on the stairs with our dog taking him in and out. The people on the elevator also seemed sensitive to having a dog join them, so we did not. As I said, we made our decision about where to stay because this was Pet Friendly, but perhaps this should be handled differently

They cleaning staff needs to be trained on properly cleaning the room. Two pillows appeared dirty and half of the king bed had hair on it. Not the cleaniest room I have been in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeanne from OC A nice surprise
When I was traveling for my job some years ago I was often booked at the Holiday Inn Express and I remember them as being sort of an economy choice so this was a nice surprise. The room was as nice as any I have stayed in. Will definitely stay again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Barbietsah I actually took pictures
The room was filthy. The pool was cold. The hot tub didn't work. The eggs, ham and sausage were rubbery. When I showed the front desk the pictures of the dirty room they did offer another but I have a 3 and 5 year old and it was 11 pm, so we stayed put...the beds seemed clean. The dirty included unvacumed edges and corners of the room. Sugar crumbs by the coffee maker. Dirt and hair in the bathroom and tub AND the most disgusting.... Finger/toe nails on the floor by the bed! They credited me $25 which was fine but this was the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. I could find one near Chicago or Madison for the same cost and 1000% better! It should not have the Holiday Inn name attached to it. Never recieved an email or call from the manager even though I was told I would. I write good reviews and I write bad reviews but I promise that they are TRUE reviews. Don't dismiss this one. Find a different Holiday Inn or hotel all together.
