Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for a family This hotel is well kept and the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean, updated and comfortable. Breakfast is hot with a variety of choices. The entire experience was pleasant and we were pleased with our stay. If you are on the road and need an overnight stay this hotel offers a good value for the money. July 2, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smoked Out!!!! Extremely disappointed in this HIE this past weekend. My daughter and I checked in late Saturday(booked ahead weeks ago) evening after a softball tournament. Upon entering room we were hit with an overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke so bad that my 11 year old would not enter room. When I went to desk to double check my reservation for a non-smoking room, I found that my room was indeed a non-smoking room, but they were unable to switch rooms due to "sold-Out" hotel. So, my daughter (with asthma by the way) and I had to sleep in these less than acceptable conditions with the air blasting and she with a towel over her face! We are loyal HIE customers and stay over 10 times per year, but based on this experience will likely choose another hotel company in the future. I understand that people may "sneak" cigarettes into rooms, but there need to be monetary consequences for those who vandalize hotel rooms with cigarettes, the same way you would expect if a guest "trashed" a room. Very disgusted!!! June 23, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, horrible payment system The hotel was nice. Check in was easy. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. I was charged twice by the hotel. I had saved up for the trip and the second charge over-drafted my account. After many calls to my bank (who verified two separate charges had been made) and the hotel, I was mysteriously credited the second charge back two days later. I would not have had a problem if they admitted to the mistake. June 11, 2014
