Breakfast was good and food was hot, breakfast staff was very nice and kind. Extra thanks goes out to their generosity!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Such a large, nice room Our room at the Sulphur Springs Holiday Inn Express was especially nice. It was larger than most motel rooms.....3-4 feet wider than most. We enjoyed the taller ceiling, the crown moulding and the nice pictures. But better than that was the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the room. April 9, 2014

The choices they made when finishing this hotel make a difference in the feel and atmosphere. Breakfast options are more than usual but they need a different sausage. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice HIE, but wifi was too weak to be useful. Weak wifi. Too weak to bother with. There was only one spot in the room where we could even get a weak signal. In the lobby, there is a decorative table just inside entrance, too close to the door, and forces you to quickly avoid it. Otherwise it was a nice facility. September 29, 2013

The lady working in the breakfast room could have been more helpful. I asked for light yogurt and got the impression I was bothering her. We had breakfast all 3 days there and never saw her crack a smile. She could have made us feel more welcome. September 25, 2013

We both agree that the room easily could be compared with and was of the same caliber as the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Wished we had been able to stay longer. This was the 2nd time in 14 months that I stayed at this hotel and it was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE once again! The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. The building, inside and outside, is gorgeous. The furnishings throughout the building are outstanding. Thank you for setting the bar so high...I wish all hotels were this nice. I've stayed at very expensive hotels that were not near as nice as this hotel. It is a true joy to stay here. Makes me want to drive thru Sulfur Springs, Texas more often! :-) September 9, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Choice for the area Nice hotel and a good choice for the area, however.... I was disappointed and a little frustrated to discover too late that they failed to put any bar soap in my room. I was already in the shower when i made this discovery. I had to use shampoo to shower with. I understand it was just an oversight on the room attendants part. I have stayed at many hotels in my life and this was the first time i can ever recall not having any bar soap in the room anywhere. The man at the front desk when I first arrived didn't really represent the hotel very well with his demeanor and tee-shirt attire. It appeared that he was just filling in for someone and had to get someone to check people in. First impressions really do matter. I think the GM should be more selective who he places at the front desk. I was also disappointed that the pool didn't have a hot tub. After driving a lot and putting in a long day it would have been really nice to spend time in a hot tub or Jacuzzi. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean and it was a good choice for the area at a very fair price. September 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No keys and Computer problems When I checked out in the mourning from the night before it took almost 20 mins to get a receipt. I had to spend a 2nd night due to work. When we checked in once again the keys where not ready. The clerk at the front desk was allot better. He had to reboot the computer like 4 times and call for assistance on the computer. He finally checked us in by hand after waiting over 30 mins. He did say thank you for being a platinum member. He also said that they had no upgrades. They need to do something about the customer service at this hotel. I also recommend you get someone in to look at computer!!! September 1, 2013

When we checked in the keys were not ready , so he got on the computer and just stared at it for about 15 mins never telling us anything. He did not offer me a upgrade and then just gave us our keys. He did not show any customer support. There is no Hot tub at this location. September 1, 2013

It took 30 minutes to get my room ready after arriving & my colleague waited over an hour. Other rooms on my floor were still being cleaned close to 5 pm. The over all stay was fine, room was clean & comfortable, but the professionalism of front lobby staff upon and after arrival was unacceptable. August 19, 2013
