Arrived with everything ready for check-in. Staff acknowledged my IHG status and informed me that I was given an upgrade without my requesting it.
Later we had several choices of dinner establishments so we asked the gentleman at the desk concerning his recommendations. We followed his suggestion and had a great meal.
The overall service was outstanding. Incidentally, the breakfast was outstanding.

The hotel is fine but was a little high priced. The wifi is poor quality. I could not watch a movie. The hot water in the sink would not get hot enough for shaving. Also they don't have the nfl network. If you can get passed all of this it is a great place for you to stay.

The facility and accommodations are good and clean. However the drain in the lavatory in the room needed serious work. It barely drained.

This Holiday Inn Express is an ideal place to stay for leisure or business. The staff is committed to pleasing the guest as much as possible. Last time, we discovered that we like the first floor rooms better than those on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, because of a desk by one bed and a bit more space between the beds and the TV/fridge/microwave oven.
This room, 121, was very convenient. I would recommend it especially for families, as it can be connected to room 123.
I called Friday morning for the best rate they could give me. I got the best rate so far, from a front desk staffer who recognized me on the phone. We got a pleasant surprise when this same staffer filled in for the breakfast server because of a medical reason. That staffer cheerfully covered the responsibilities for the breakfast. I didn't recognize her until the end of the meal, at which time she explained her filling-in role. I wished her a Happy Halloween, as she was in a breakfast-staff costume.

The room had a damp feeling (granted it was damp outside), when I spoke to the front desk about it they said they could put a dehumidifier in the room. The next day they said they did not have dehumidifiers only air filters for smoke.
The wifi was terrible, I could barely get enough signal to download emails. Most hotels aren't fast, but this was really disappointing for a relatively new hotel.
I was served cold eggs one morning and the breakfast bar was often out of one or two items.
That said, the staff was friendly and the hotel close to my job location.

This time we stayed on the first floor in room 126. We liked the layout and size of room better than the ones on the second, third, and fourth floors. The breakfast staff put out more cinnamon rolls after we asked for them. She is nice and polite amd helpful. Front desk was also a model of excellent service.

beds are a little bit too soft.
on three of my nine nights stay house keeping were a little lax.
inter-net connections were slow and not to par in the last few days. hope problem resolved.
all front desk staff great.

I made reservatiosfor a non smoking room. They put me in a smoking room and then tryied to tell me it was a non smoking room. When I asked the front desk to do something about it, all they would do was spray some air freshener in the room. In just a few minutes all you could smell was the smell of the smoke. This Holiday Inn is in the area that I need to stay and I stay there at least 5-8 times a year. This recent stay with the smoking room and the last stay with the mistake made by the reservation department has really made me start to look at some of the other brands in the same area. I am also not real happy with the way that the pricing changes all the time depending on what the other brands in the area are charging and what is going on in the area. As a Gold/Elite member you would think that the room should be the same price all the time because we choose to use the HI brand all the time.

Not what I expected. From the description thought I would get 2 Queen beds and a sleeper sofa but had a King bed and sleeper sofa. Was told by 2 employees this misconception was a common occurrence. Room has odor. Sleeper sofa mattress was terrible. Kids chose to sleep on cushions on floor. Ask for quiet contract signature on arrival. I now understand why they don't allow for cancellations. No kids under 16 allowed on premises unaccompanied. I have never heard of this before, and as most people were there for ball tournaments I am sure they were just as surprised. Was not impressed. Rooms could have been cleaner, looked like pet hair on bathroom floor. It was after 3pm before the room was cleaned and only replaced 2 towels. After asking other parents at the tournament about their stays will try other facilities on my next trip.

The only complaint I have about the entire stay, is the pull out bed in the suite. I would rather have a double bed than a pull out sofa bed. The sofa beds are so................ uncomfortable.
Other than that, the staff was very helpful, the room was clean and the main bed was comfortable. The facilities were very nice and very accommodating.

I was a little apprehensive about the location, as we were visiting relatives in Lake Charles. This turned out to be no problem at all, as it's a quick trip down the highway. The location actually has advantages--a Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House right next door.
I was pleased that we were allowed to check in early after a long drive and was really pleased with the super clean room we were given. My husband smokes and smoking rooms are sometimes not the best in the hotel. This was not the case here. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The indoor pool and outside patio were spotless also. The breakfast was plentiful and good and the dining area is comfortable and comes with a very hospitable Jutta, who was charming and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

I am platinum member of Holiday innn and have stayed at many different hotels but this one was one of my worst stays. At first, when I checked in they put me in a room that had NO tv in the rrom. When I call ed the front desk they advised me that they would move me to another room Sp we gather up all of out stufff and went to the lobby . But now they told me that no other rooms were available. So we had to go back to the room with no TV. Latte that night after returning, we had requested a wake up call for 6:15 am. However we never did get a wake up call and we were late for our start time. I spoke to the front desk and they said the wake up call was entered int the system but it never went through to the room. Issue after issue with this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and always the staff was very friendly. I would like to compliment cody and Misti on a job well done. Miss Donna you are the best every time I call you try and accomadate me.Misti thank you for taking the time to remove all the ad that were left on the windshields of all vehicles. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great job everyone hope to see you soon.

Drove over 500 miles from Florida for a two night stay to see our young grandsons. We chose this property specifically because of the heated indoor pool and spa for the grandsons, going so far as to call the 800 number of HIE to ensure the pool and spa was available. We were assured that it was. Upon arrival at approximately 4:00 pm, the first question we asked was, "Is the pool and spa working?" We were told no, the spa was not working but the pool was. We unpacked, the grandsons arrived shortly after, and went directly to the pool. Much to all of our disappointment, the water was freezing cold.
The next afternoon, management called and told us the heater for the pool was broken as well and wouldn't be fixed during our stay. They offered to find us another hotel if wanted to move. It was late in the afternoon and I told them no, we didn't want to pack up and move to another property late in the afternoon, for one night, not knowing any rates or pool availability, etc.. We were offered Priority Club points instead of being comped on the room rate.
Also, we were placed in a room near the lobby. It is next to the stairs and when someone used the stairs it echoed into our room like a herd of elephants was going up or down. The room itself was nice enough, roomy with two queen beds, but we had to look for the housekeeping staff and ask them to clean our room at 1:30 in the afternoon.
The breakfast was the redeeming factor in our stay. A great variety of food choices, a very nice lady working there, above average.
Would I recommend this HIE - no. The staff was not knowledgeable about the pool situation. We were told several different stories by different desk personnel. If we had been told upon our arrival that the pool and spa were broken, we could have made other arrangements. We should have been offered a reduced rate on the room instead of Priority points. This hotel severely compromised a vacation that had been planned and looked forward to. Not a good way to do business.

Room was clean and comfortable on arrival . Nice size frig in room.
Second day no cleaning of rm. Called front desk and gentlemen was rude saying we don't change sheets everyday. That is not what I asked I asked for clean towels,beds made and trash emptied. Some brought towels to the room and said maid told her we requested no service which was not true. Next day room was cleaned after 2 request on my part. Food was not the best but adequate and server was friendly and helpful.
First night in room we were awaken by someone in next room be able to open the door adjoining room door..It was terrifying to be awakes with someone entering your room. Thankfully it was a child and not an intruder. Front desk notified and their answer was oh, ok!;

the manager was very accomodating. the last time I stayed, I had inadvertenly booked the wrong date and I was not penalized.
That is one of the reasons I stayed at THIS Holiday Inn!

We've stayed here a couple of times. This is a very well kept place. I would have marked everything excellent, but we were not greeted as Priority Guests this time when we arrived and our beds were really very 'squishy'. Perhaps the mattresses need to be replaced because I don't recall this the last time we were here and we come here about twice a year. This also will not prevent us from returning. I'm just saying that our beds this time were different from past stays.
The hotel is beautifully maintained and everyone is very friendly. The breakfast area is exceptionally clean and the choices of breakfast items is commendable. Good Work!
