All in all a good stay but the room good stand some improvement. The easy chair was worn out and needs to be replaced. I could feel the springs and wooden frame when I sat in the chair. The toilet was difficult to flush. I had to hold the handle until it actually started to flush. The room seemed a little dingy and old. The maids did a great job but a new bed spread and some drapes etc. might be a good idea.

Christy,
Very nice Hotel, well keep and always get a warm feeling upon arrival . As always a pleasure stay with you guys.
The only issues that I pose is the Breakfast staff in the mornings at that is from Denise, here lately she doesn't speak and or is very RUDE, don't care to be around her, notice this ever since you hired the other part lady for this position .
Thank You for listening and have a great Holiday to you and your family.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Elvis17 Worst Holiday Inn I ever stayed in
I have never been so disappointed in a Holiday Inn in my life. The room I was in the bathroom still had hair in the tub and when you did take a shower the tub would not drain. The side of the toilet lid by the shower has not been scrubbed in years. The handicap room my mom was in only had a desk chair when I called the front desk to request one there response was they would have to look around. Needless to say we never received one. I will never stay here in this motel again and the family I was visiting was warned not to recommend it to there company. The sign needs to be changed from Holiday Inn to Motel 6. The only thing good about it was my points that I will receive for the stay. Clean up your act.

My husband and I along with our small dog have stayed at this property on two occasions. Our son and daughter-in-law live in Summerville and we stay here becasue we do not want to intrude on their privacy. We have found it to be comfortable and clean which is really all we want from a hotel. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ColonelDan Cristy and Crew are the Best
I've stayed at numerous HIEs and this one is our favorite. Cristy, the manager, has always been a delight to work with and always goes above and beyond. Her staff loves her and rightly so. The whole crew is customer focused and very pleasant.
Stay here and you'll be very happy the entire time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rick446 Retro with a Modern Flair
I stay at HIE locations all over the country as I travel extensively for my company. Holiday Inn Express is a step up over the competition in my view because almost every one that I book a reservation at is newer and has all of the amenities that a business traveler needs. A clean, modern room with breakfast included. Due to the size of IHG, I can rely on the fact that there will most likely be one within 2-5 miles of wherever I am going. Regarding the Summerville location, I was truly impressed! The entire facility is decked out in this really cool 60's retro style furniture with a modern flair. (You have to see it to fully understand) The room was absolutely perfect in it's appointments and It was a pleasure spending the night. The staff was polite and accommodating. Looking at these other reviews, I wonder if they are talking about the same place. As a person who stays at HIE locations 2-4 nights per week, I consider myself an authority and I highly recommend this location!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jesh Comfortable bed and staff
The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. We had a problem with our door and mainteneance came and fixed it.
The breakfast area was very clean and the staff kept it well stocked.
I am a clean freak and felt like the hotel needs to step up a notch in this department.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sallray not a good experience
The room was near the elevator which was noisy late into the night. The room had an off smell, like carpet cleaner or some type of deodorant. It made me wonder what they were trying to hide. The overall room was ok but when looking closer the corners and doors were dirty. I dropped something behind the nightstand and it was very dirty back there - had not been moved or vaccumed in a long while. The ironing board was so old that we almost didn't get it open and when we did it was very loud, I am sure the next room could hear. It was a cheap as far as cost so I guess in this instance you get what you pay for. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. I would not recommend this hotel. I should have paid a little more and stayed somewhere else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bogie was very pleased to be there. close to my family, easy to find.
We were in Savannah at a Holiday Inn Express and had to change our plans to go up to Charleston. The Savannah Inn took the time to make our reservations fo us. Your hotel was great for us. We recieved a military discount since we are retired military, by the way Air Force at Charleston in 1989. The only issue I had was that I have never received my Holiday Inn Priority Club membership card to score some points for the furture. I applied last year when we went to Yellowstone. The young lady at the desk, Ashleigh was very pleasant and helpful to us. We have not been in Summerville since 2006 and I was a little lost for a while. She pointed us in the right directions. Our pillows were a little to soft for our taste but how can you take care of a million different people with their request. My wife and I will be back in Summerville sometime next August to bring grandkids back home from summer vacation with us and we will be staying there again. Thank you for taking care of us.
Sincerely,
Ron & Brenda

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MeredithE115 sketchy location, smelly room and a cockroach-YUCK
I had high hopes for this hotel after an excellent experience in Hagerstown, Maryland. However, that went out the window the moment I stepped into my room. The staff are pleasant but only gave me one key card for my room (there were 2 of us staying). My room was old and smelled like it. About an hour after arriving, we found another "resident" in our room-climbing up the wall. Much to my dismay, a cockroach.
Add to that, a sketchy location right next to a skeevy, run down motel which had people running in and out of it all night long. I got no sleep-I was too distracted by the elevator (located right next to our room) and keeping one eye open looking out the window to make sure the people going in and out of the motel wouldn't break into my car.
Finally, the next morning-I attempted to check out and there was NO ONE at the desk. Sadly, I left my key on the desk-piled next to the others.
NEVER AGAIN. CLOSE THIS ONE DOWN AND START OVER AGAIN.

Very nice and quite. The staff that I had the pleasure of talking with were very friendly and wanted to help me in any way they could to make my stay perfect. I will stay at this location the next time I am in the area even if it mean driving a little further.
