Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Value For Money Stayed at the hotel prior to playing golf at Walton Heath. Hotel was clean and tidy and I had a reasonable night's sleep, although disturbed by early (0530) risers. I thought that the rate I paid di d not represent value for money. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort and the Races We took a last minute day at the races and were lucky enough to find that the Holiday Inn on the racecourse had a few rooms available. Knowing the reputation of the chain we booked and we were very happy with the hotel itself and the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. We arrived early but were able to use a room to get ready for the racing. The bar was comfortable after the races, where we sat chatting to other residents who also were enjoying their stay. Will definitely use the hotel again. October 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Views! Whilst staff were very helpful and the room was clean, it did tend to lack certain items that would have improved the stay. There was no personal storage space, as the few shelves available meant that everything was on show. Not sufficient clothes hanging areas and certainly not enough for a week-end stay for 2 people. We had to leave half our clothes etc in our suitcase/bag. Bad night's sleep on 1st night as a standard 4'6" bed is not suitable/comfortable for 2 middle aged adults. The staff agreed to open up sofa bed for 2nd night as my Husband, having just had an operation, wasn't able to sleep comfortably due to small bed. The beds were better on 2nd night, but we were woken up about 2.00 am and noise continued until about 4.00 am with knocking/banging and possibly kicking on a door#s# along the corridor. Best part of our stay was being able to go over to see the racing track and watch some of the races. October 7, 2014
