This is the first time my family and I have used Holiday inn express and its going to the first of many.
We were welcomed with a smiling face and a friendly receptionist.
the room was very nice we had a family room and we arrived at about 9pm to find the sofa bed already made which was great and saved me bumping about and disturbing anyone else . Beds where comfortable Very clean as was the whole place.
Breakfast was plentiful good selection "But no bacon" I did ask and so did others. but was told they don't do it . "What a shame"
Had a lovely relaxing stay .
Good location for a base around Swindon & connecting motorway
Free parking & Wifi "yes free"
The whole building was very clean and tidy .
And my I take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff and look forward to seeing you soon.

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay for myself and my five year old son after a day visit to Longleat. We arrived at 5pm and manager was friendly to my son as I checked in this was the best experience of the trip. There was no service in the dining area until 6.30pm as they had a group staying. This was fine, however when we went down at 6.30pm the group were only just sitting down to dinner therefore it would have been another hour wait - not suitable for a small child whose bedtime is 7pm. We ended up going to a competitors restaurant in order to get served at a reasonable time. It was explained to me that the hotel was primarily for business clients / groups and that we were fortunate to actually have the restaurant open. The website did not include this kind of information and as a result this cannot be considered a family friendly hotel. In comparison to the welcome, service and freindliness we received at Holiday Inn Express in Cardiff where we had stayed the previous night the Holiday Express Inn Swindon appeared to be hostile towards a family booking.

We wanted a getaway for two, and this was a good offer. In honesty, we weren't expecting anything brilliant, but ended up being delighted. A quiet location, easy parking, clean and well kept, with staff that were very pleasant indeed. The bar was basic but pleasant, and the simple bar meals more than adequate for the type of hotel. Breakfast, again, was basic but good. Free wi-fi in the room is, I guess, just expected these days. Swindon . . . . Well, it was Swindon. Dreadful traffic, horrible parking. On the other hand, nearby is Royal Wootten Bassett, malmsbury, the Museum of Army Flying is well worth a visit, and all around is some gorgeous countryside. We will happily return - if the price is right.

The hotel has upgraded the quilts and they are very comfy the room are well appointed. The room on the quiet side of the hotel are great. The check in was great and the hotel gave me free wifi" which is great but the system required to key in the access code every time I used the system. The hotel is on the outskirts of town so the need for a car is essential. I have found that the night staff are quite knowledge and are very helpful. I often arrive late and come in late at night.
