When we made our reservations, we requested the lowest floor available so we were very happy to get the king executive suite on the first floor which was very convenient to the lobby and the breakfast area. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of noise in the water pipe when the guest above us first turned on their tub water but once they turned on the shower, it was fine. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly (front desk and breakfast area). The location of this hotel was perfect since we were visiting our grandson at WCU and very close to the historic part of Dillsboro and Sylva, and also close to Cherokee and the historic town of Waynesville. Again, we thank you for a comfortable and welcoming stay. August 19, 2014

The front desk clerk made an extra effort to make sure that my club points were used even though I though that my membership may have lapsed for a long time of non-use. The hot breakfast was much better than other hotels simple free coffee, cereal and donuts. It was very quiet both nights. We slept well. August 2, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled very musty. They overbooked for the night we were there. They made it right and lowered the price for a smaller room. Unfortunately the room we got (310) had a terrible musty oder that wouldn't go away. Air freshener and opening the window helped very little. It was clean and breakfast was standard HIE. There is a brand new Microtel just down the road. I would try that next time. August 1, 2014

While we were only at the hotel one night, we were very impressed with the room, the cleanliness of the property inside and out, and the friendliness of the staff. Even when compared with other Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed in recently, this particular hotel exceeded expectations in all areas. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area! The staff was so accommodating, the hotel very clean, breakfast was wonderful, the bed was most comfortable. In fact, we asked for a little later check out time, which they allowed us to have. We just enjoyed relaxing the the room with another cup of coffee and newspaper, in no hurry to be on our way. We've stayed at this hotel before and it's always a pleasurable experience. They were still incredibly friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast staff. The hotel was immaculately clean and our room was beautiful. If you are in the Cherokee, NC, area, STAY HERE! It was the perfect place for our family of 4 (2 parents and 2 college-aged students). July 16, 2014

The staff from the check in desk, the breakfast area, to the maid service were very friendly and helpful. That means a lot to me when we stay at a hotel. I can depend on Holiday Inn Express to be clean and comfortable where ever we visit one.
