Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very clean hotel, great service from staff We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for just one night, on our way to another destination. The staff was so accommodating, the hotel very clean, breakfast was wonderful, the bed was most comfortable. In fact, we asked for a little later check out time, which they allowed us to have. We just enjoyed relaxing the the room with another cup of coffee and newspaper, in no hurry to be on our way. We've stayed at this hotel before and it's always a pleasurable experience. They were still incredibly friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast staff. The hotel was immaculately clean and our room was beautiful. If you are in the Cherokee, NC, area, STAY HERE! It was the perfect place for our family of 4 (2 parents and 2 college-aged students). July 16, 2014

The staff from the check in desk, the breakfast area, to the maid service were very friendly and helpful. That means a lot to me when we stay at a hotel. I can depend on Holiday Inn Express to be clean and comfortable where ever we visit one. If there is one available whenever we travel we like to stay there because we can count on them to be clean, comfortable and to have a good breakfast. July 9, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay We had a great stay for two nights in June 2014. We have stayed at another hotel in the area before, but we chose this one for the additional room in a suite. It was great to have the sleeper sofa and the refrigerator. Our room had everything we needed, and we enjoyed being on the top floor. Very quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast. The cinnamon rolls can't be beat. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Felt like they cared about a great stay. Disappointed a bit in the internet as we weren't able to access it the second day. We didn't call the number provided as it was already late in the evening. July 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newer Hotel Very nice hotel, though hard to get to, out of the way placement. They did a great job especially since they were sold out for the busy holiday weekend. They had a wonderful breakfast and two on staff to keep up with the demand. This was a first for me. Only drawback was internet which is not their fault. It was not working for the evening. Nice standard room, great air conditioner that had white noise fan, this blocked the loud fireworks that the neighbor was shooting off. Only thing was the shower head. Most hotels have gotten away from these heads that spray a ring of water so that you feel like you never get wet no matter how you adjust it. If we are in the area again we will be back. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Experience Stayed 3 nights Staff, cleanliness, breakfast food, all were excellent. If you are tall, the shower head may feel short. Placement of the hand towel rack in the bathroom was in the way of the sink. Internet would often "drop" but I could immediately get it back up by switching to the other signal (there are two). Cinnamon rolls at breakfast are to die for! And the warm fresh-baked cookies in the evening were wonderful, too. Fitness center was immaculate and up-to-date. Did not use the pool. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and clean hotel, beautiful mountain setting Nicely appointed room, with plenty of space. Comfortable beds. Quiet. Average hot breakfast offering for hotels. Only issue was that wireless Internet was slow and sometimes not responsive, up to 30 minutes at a time. Rooms are a bit pricey compared to bigger cities but it seems normal for the area. We love how the hotel is in a quiet spot away from the attractions to be able to unwind. Thank-you for listening to my suggestion about placing an elliptical machine in the exercise room; it allowed me to keep my workout schedule. This is a great hotel and we are planning on returning next year as the staff are very friendly, most especially Miss Becky who is the breakfast hostess. Outside was clean and looked to be freshly painted. Check in was quick and the staff made sure that we had everything needed for a great stay. Rooms were well maintained and CLEAN. Breakfast was more than adequate from fresh fruit to meat and eggs. The lady made sure that the food items were well stocked at all times and tables were clean. This was accomplished with over 30 guest in there at the time we ate. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this facility and will stay there anytime we are in the area again! June 16, 2014

Even though the elevator was having problems the first 3 days, our 7 day stay was an excellent experience overall. I am a platinum IHG member who stays exclusively at the IHG brand of hotels. This is one of the best staffed hotels I have stayed in. Becky at the breakfast bar is the nicest lady with the friendliest smile and always made sure the foods were hot and well supplied.
