Stayed here for 2 nights at marvelous park view room, facing the well-known Taichung Park, the park with the longest history in this city. Easy to get a taxi and there is a shuttle bus station nearby. Just a few minutes to get to the Yizhong Night market, with a lot of things to buy and eat. The largest outlet store in Taichung shares the same building with HIX Taichung Park so you may pick a pair of shoes you like here.

Also nearby, some legendary restaurants.

The room is clean, but the bed is not comfortable enough. Although you can hear some nosiy from outside in the room, but it is quiet during the night. The biggest problem is the breafast, I stayed here twice, last time is crowded, but this time is a disaster! During the spring vacation, I arrived the restraunt at 8:30, there was nothing left. No seat, no food, no drink, and even they run out of the plate/spoon/forks/cups....... the waiter is nice and try to help, but there were nothing they can do. I wait 20 mins to get 2 toast. And decided giving and found something to eat at 7-11 out side the hotel.

Pros: Room is spacious. Office-like desktop. Hot water and good water pressure. Cons: Could use more lighting in the room. TV is not tile-able.

The location is quite good. Very near to the Taichung Park and the Yi Zhong Night Market.
We took a free shuttle bus catered by the HSR and landed at Taichung Park.
It is a 3 min walk from the Taichung Park.
The service is great. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is jus so-so. With a counter for salads, 2-3 types of fruits, variety of drinks and a western section with a carbo select (pasta or noodles), hashbrowns, eggs, sausages and bacons. There is also congee available.
Unfortunately, our room got no windows but the toileries are met within my expectations.
I will recommend this hotel. :)

Most preferred hotel when travel to Taichung on business visit and family vacation. Very conveneint to local food stalls. Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the breakfast variety.

Compared to what one may reasonably expect from a Holiday Inn Express facility, the Taichung Park was a perfect experience for me. The physical features of the room and building are above HIE average. The service of the staff is just great. The location is unbeatable, and the complimentary breakfast far exceeds my expectation, compared to the other HIE locations.
