Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Undergoing Renovation This property is undergoing extensive renovation particularly in the lobby and breakfast area. Our party was told the renovations would be complete by the date of the wedding but sadly that was not the case. I would check to see if the renovations are complete before booking. November 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very nice room, but hotel under renovation When the remodel is complete, this will be a very nice hotel. We had a false alarm, a different location for breakfast, and a dusty lobby. Occasionally had to exit or enter through alternate entrances. Computer in lobby not always available due to work being done. Service was very good during all of this. We had asked for a water view room, but apparently due to remodel was not possible. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Great Stay At Tampa/Rocky Point Island I stood here many times over the years and has always been a nice location, great Bay views and a wonderful trip to Tampa. Now with the new renovations it should be even better. Nice new carpet and paint smells makes it seem like a new home. SUPER soft sheets that makes me never want to get out of bed lol.... Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to Par or even Bogey. I used to love this hotel and location. Not so much these days. Renovation may be completed soon but you cannot paint over the customer service that has really gone downhill in the past 2 years. I was there for business on a 2 week trip. the first 6 days consisted of 3 days no new towels, 4 days no coffee added to the room or coffee pot cleaned, 1 day no one showed up at all. 3 days did not bother to empty the trash, 2 days did not clean the sinks. Was reported twice with the standard, oh I am so sorry we will get that fixed. The final bill was not accurate to add insult to injury and the implication was that it was my fault. I stay 200 nights a year at HI properties but will never stay here again.. Business Road Warrior November 14, 2014

I had to wait 15 minutes to check in because I arrived before 3:00 pm. I didn't like all the renovation going on: noisy and messy. The parking lot was so small. November 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and stay Prior to arrival I spoke to Felica whose professionalism and help was right on point. Once we arrived Samantha greeted us had room keys all set and even went out of her way to get my mother milk since they didn't have any for purchase. The following day another gentlemen not sure of his name but he was very pleasant and helpful in getting us waters since it was so hot by the pool area. Even through the renovations that were going on the hotel was well kept staff was amazing and they did great with continental breakfast and making that area feel comfortable besides that the lady who keeps up with the food coming out and everything clean in that area she was equally great... Always smiled and had no problem getting me a tray to bring coffee up to our room. Rooms were clean and pillows fabulous! Great morning view out by pool. Will recommend and stay here again when in Tampa. October 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Undergoing a facelift This property is undergoing a facelift. We were fortunate to stay in one of the newly upgraded rooms which was very nicely done. The bed was comfy and inviting and the bath was quite nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating and excited about the changes as well. October 30, 2014
