My only complaint was that there was only one person checking people in and there was a line building that went to the door. There was another employee at the front desk, but she was on the phone and it was obviously NOT a business call. If she was not actually working, it doesn't look good to talk on the phone while there are people standing in line to check in. Other than that, my stay was great!

Hotel appearance and staff were good. Loud, rude guests coming home near midnight every night made getting rest a challenge. We wre in town on buisness not vacation and had to get up early every morning. We chose the location because it was close to USF, but not on the railroad tracks like the other hotel. I find no fault with the hotel except the rooms could be better insulated, especially in a "holiday destination" where the guest do come back late due to the parks closing hours..

Overall the experience was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. I made a last minute reservation separate from my friend and my room was on a different floor. The staff made some changes to put us closer together.

We arrived after a Tampa Rays game and were put into a room next to the elevator. We had a small child with us. You would think common sense might have inspired the manager to ask if the room was acceptable. In addition to the elevator noise the small room refrigerator was not working correctly.
The next morning when I explained my distress the manager said she'd have someone look into it.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and will continue to come back. I have family in Tampa and they come to visit and swim with us. Nice staff and clean rooms.

Room was extremely clean and I felt very safe while traveling with teenage daughter. Would highly recommend hotel. Able to walk to restaurants easily.

This hotel is so convinent for Busch gardens. The coutersey bus service was an excellent. I stayed with my family (Husband, 12yr old and 8yr old) The room was very comfortable for our needs and would highly recommend it. Also great that there is an Olive Garden(Italian food), next door. We could walk there in the evening after a busy day at Busch. Breakfast was good, only downside was plastic plates, knifes and forkes but for the price can understand why. So value for money was great as well.

The front desk person left us stranded for 30 minutes in the pouring rain at Busch Gardens. After we called to page the driver (who had assured us in the morning that he would come within 5 minutes of our call) the front desk person "forgot" to alert the driver we were waiting. Evening plans had to be cancelled as we were drenched and unable to get ready in time. Several new pairs of sneakers are waterlogged thanks to the cavalier desk person.

All of the hallways of this hotel are extremely HOT. I asked the front desk and they said it was because it was on the top floor. However, I have lived in Florida my whole life and no other hotel I have stayed, have hallways this HOT. Plus I had visited the other floors and they were also very hot and I over heard another guest complaining about it as well as they got off the elevator.
The rooms were comfortable but the hallways were too hot. The lobby had an odd smell as well.

Simple check in with friendly receptionist, Hotel ideally situated for Busch Gardens, which was the purpose of our visit, with free shuttle. Room was perfect, clean and spacious, flat screen tv, fridge, coffee maker, iron & board. Coffee maker faulty, no problem, reception changed it right away. Very quiet with no noise from adjoining rooms. Stayed three nights and room and bathroom immaculate when we returned from the park each day. Not a fabulous neighbourhood but there is an Olive Garden right next door and a Red Lobster next door to that so no problems with food. Small pool to the left side of hotel but didn't use it as the weather was not so great when we stayed. All in all a great stay, thanks HIE !

We have to visit Tampa every 8 weeks for my husband to go to the Moffitt for Brain scans. This was a very pretty and clean room. It made our trip more relaxed.

WASN'T HAPPY WHEN I FIRST CHECKED IN BECAUSE AS SOON AS I WENT INTO MY ROOM I WENT INTO THE BATHROOM AND IT WAS DIRTY.. THE ONE BED LOOKED LIKED SOMEONE WAS LAYING ON IT. THE BEDS WERE NOT COMFORTABLE AND THE RUGS LOOKED VERY DIRTY..

I really enjoyed this hotel because it was within walking distance to Busch Gardens and eateries. The hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful and very professional. I definitely will be staying here the next time I visit Tampa.

Everything was exceptional! Our reason for choosing this hotel was Busch gardens, and it was perfect. The shuttle service, breakfast, room comfort, and great front desk service made it a 5 star in my books!

I recommend this hotel to anyone, if you are looking to go to Busch Gardens it is very close. The room was great, clean and even though I was there on business, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. Close to a several different places to eat. I would definitely stay here again!

Picked this hotel as it was close to bush gardens they were not wrong. Staff very friendly. Rooms ok bed could have been better every turn made a noise.. Breakfast was a no couldn't even get in so had breakfast out only because we were in a every large group.

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. It's a great location. Less than a mile away from Busch Gardens with many restaurant choices nearby. Even though the hotel was fully booked, it was quiet and we got a great night's sleep. The beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was really nice too...something for everyone. Staff in the breakfast room handled the morning rush very well. When I arrived they were out of forks and bananas but quickly brought more out. My only suggestion would be to increase breakfast hours to accommodate late sleepers since the breakfast room was super busy. There was plenty of seating in the overflow room however the buffet was really congested.

The room was great and the set up was very nice. Overall, the staff was cold and uninterested in the stay of their customers. Being a platinum member I am used to being well greeted and given a small drink or package at arrival. I have spent thousands of dollars on stays across the US for work and travel, but this hotel and the area around was very unaccommodating. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, then there are no worries, but if you are looking for a nice staff and a welcome environment, this is not the hotel to choose.

We were so pleased with this facility. Our only hitch was that when reserving the queen suite, we expected a nice couch area as shown & described on the website. Especially since (a) we had our 11 yr old child with us and (b) we were meeting my niece and friend and had hoped to invite them back to the room for a visit after dinner. Instead, we had a huge Jacuzzi in the room. So that altered our plans. We overheard the gal at the front desk explaining to another couple that the hotel was completely booked, or we'd have asked for a different room. Overall, between cleanliness, friendliness, breakfast buffet, and location this hotel was a great value. We were able to walk to several restaurants. And you can't beat it's convenience to Busch Gardens. When we come back to Tampa later in the year, this will be where we stay.

I asked for connecting rooms and was lead to believe that I would have them. The rooms were not even next to each other. Rest assured that will not happen again. We left after one night we were scheduled for three nights.

The internet was horrendously slow, and that was if myself or my copilot could connect to it in the first place. He and I made calls to the internet provider's 800 number with no improvement in service, and the desk of course was no help since they are not network administrators.
The exercise bike is not working, and neither is the business center. I was told that the business center has been out of order for two weeks. When I asked if the desk could print my documents, I was told that they could not because none of the computers back there had a USB port but that I could email it (I was not about to email sensitive company documents). Apparently, someone knocked over the computer in the business center and broke it, which I understand. But the fact that no one could go buy a $200 desktop computer in a two week-plus time frame is beyond me.
I have informed my company that manages a group of approximately 60 pilots who are out on rotations for a week at a time twice a month to never stay at this hotel again, and have advised them to discontinue use of Holiday Inn Express hotels in general since myself and several pilots have never had a great experience with the hotels. They are inconsistent (anywhere from a brand new hotel to a former hourly-motel with new paint and light fixtures) and are not worth the money. Hilton hotels, on the other hand, are all the exact same with consistent quality and better internet.
Fast, reliable internet service is a must for any business traveler since it is 2013 and most everything is done online. Your internet service falls short on speed and reliability, and the fact that your servers boot every client off every 4 or 5 hours or so is inconvenient and unnecessary.
Also, there was only one server during breakfast, even on the weekends, at a hotel that is across the street from one of the largest theme parks in America, resulting in delays and crowding. There were signs hung in the lobby warning of long breakfast lines and overflow seating, yet one poor attendant had to manage breakfast.
