This trip was rough supposed to land in Tampa at 12:30am and did not get to hotel until 4:00am. Checking was easy since they were aware of the flight delays. However the room was old and tired. Sheets and bed were past time for new sets. stains on the carpet. Curtains in the room had holes all over them and red stains that look like blood.
Next day needed to use the "free" shuttle and the front desk argued with me that my location was further than 3 miles. When I pushed the issue they said they would look into it and call me back. 20 minutes later no call had to go to the lobby and make them check. When he finally agreed it was only 2.3 miles he then said we had to wait now other people were in the shuttle and others were ahead of us. (They share the shuttle with another hotel next door)

My experience at this location was great in all aspects. The staff and service are commendable. The room and other environment were clean and I felt safe. On a whole my stay was just wonderful!

I have stayed at this location a few times and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Internet connection is not strong so it is slow. I am always comfortable when I stay.

We were greeted upon arrival by a friendly front desk hostess. We were recognized as IHG Reward Club members with two bottles of warm water. This seems to be standard fare at all the HIE's we visit in Florida. Last year many HIE's we stayed in across the states included juice drinks and/or snack varieties. Just saying...warm water??? The room was large and clean and the breakfast was outstanding. All the staff were very helpful and courteous.

Our time at the Hotel was great the Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean the fitness room had great equipment they also offered dinner Tuesday thru Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 free to all of the guest. We were very satisfied.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. The staff are very friendly and the desk clerk, Francesca (I think that is correct), remembered me from a year ago. The rooms are clean and it is one of the quietest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. This is not a 5 star hotel, but I actually prefer it over a high end hotel. The beds are comfortable. Large bathroom, microwave in the room, mini-frig in the room, and hot breakfast in the morning with great coffee. Lets not forget, FREE PARKING and airport shuttle. I rented a car the last time I was here, but used the shuttle this time. I plan on staying here again in about six months.
My only complaint is there are not many places to eat that are within walking distance, but the shuttle took us where ever we wanted to go within a 3 mile radius. Shells was the best!!

Great staff and service. Good breakfast. convenient shuttle service to airport. Mattresses were poor though, and it was difficult to spot the hotel from highway. It is set back and a there is a vacant depressed looking building in front of it. Needs some sprucing up.

The location of this property was great, near the freeway, The rooms, at least ours on the 1st floor need renovation. The furniture is dated, a nightstand lamp had to be replace( didn't work),the blackout curtain had several pin size holes in it. and the toilet had to be repaired, The entry doors outside our room were very loud and the water pressure in the shower wasn't as high as other Holiday Inn Express.
The staff made our stay worth it. The repairs were made immediately. The front desk staff, Ruben and Craig were very helpful and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. They were familiar with location restaurants and their locations. Craig was most helpful and went our of his was to accommodate the guest. He was very familiar with the surrounding area and suggested sites for our of town guess.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff were more than willing to help our whole baseball organization with our needs. There were quite a bit of boys there and the staff went above and beyond to help our team manager coordinate our daily routine as smoothly as possible.

The desk clerks were very nice and helpful. The maid service was terrible!!!! They would leave us one towel each day. We had to go get them 2 of the days we were there. The other days the maids would come and then go clean a room before they would bring us a towel. They would say just one minute and then leave to clean a room ( I know this because I watched them). Very difficult talking to them as they could not speak English!!!!! I think they understood more than what they acted like. I think they just didn't want to give us towels for whatever reason!!!!

Stayed one night in May to go to a Tampa Yankee game. Within walking distance of George Steinbrenner Field and Raymond James Stadium. Room was nice but carpet and ceiling had waves in them as if the rug was not pulled tight enough and the ceiling as though it had some damage that was covered up. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. The door had a very big gap under it, so big that we put a towel to block the opening. One of the elevators was not working and we had to wait in line to go up to our room because housekeeping was in line to use the elevator. They did not offer to let the guests go first so there was quite a line of people waiting. We also received on two separate occasions pizza menus under our room door. Not sure I like the idea of people wandering the halls and placing menus under room doors. The pool area is very nice and enjoyed breakfast in the morning as well.

The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and no cracked or discolored caulking in the bathroom. Hallway carpet was a little musty, however, there is a pool onsite which could account for that issue. The room rate was comparable to other hotels in the area, and the customer service was very personable and professional. Overally, my experience with your hotel was excellent. I will definantly book with you again. Thank you Holiday Inn Express!

The staff was most helpful arranging transportation from the airport and to the cruise ship the following day. They also offered transportation to dinner but we elected to eat at a nearby diner. Everything else about the property is as we expect from the Holiday Inn name. Will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. The first room I was placed in was infested with tiny bugs that I believe were ants. They were in the bathroom as well as on the desk in the main room. My colleague in another room had even more bugs than me in his room. They were crawling all over the bathroom, desk, and wall.
Both of us were moved to second rooms. My colleague's second room seemed to be fine. My second room, however, was just as disgusting as the first. The smell of the room was awful as soon as I opened the door, not to mention the large white stain on the arm chair (...which it is not hard to imagine how it got there).
I almost checked out just to go and sleep at the airport before my flight. It would likely have been a better experience.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Tampa area.

We were staying two nights prior to our cruise.
The staff was great helping us to find a place to do that last minute cruise shopping and having a delicious meal. We will have to come back to Tampa soon!
We met the Manager, I think her name was Debbie at the reception in the evening. She was a cruiser also and gave us all the ins and outs of cruising! What a nice lady!
We are staying here the night after our cruise also and can't wait to be back again!

The staff were excellent, computers and printers available for our boarding passes. The pool and grounds were lovely. (Jacuzzi wasn't hot, though) We lucked out and came during the week where they offer drinks and a light repast of salad, soup, bread, with a choice of beer, soft drinks, or iced tea at 5:30 for free!.
I slept well, and found the room spacious with a fridge/microwave, etc. If you have time, they will transport you anywhere for free in a 3 to 5 mile radius. (I forgot which) The shuttle service was great. Enjoy!

Great staff very accomadating. We got there early and right away they phoned the maid service and we were able to get in our room an hour later/ We were also given late checkout at 2pm with no extra charge as we had a Holiday Express rewards card.

When we arrived in our room, there was no hot water in the bathroom. We were on the fourth floor and the elevator didn't work. Terrible night!

I stayed two different nights. The first the room was not thoroughly clean and the sink stopped up (room 202). The second night stay the room was clean and comfortable (room 221). If I travel to Tampa again I would probably stay at the property closer to the airport.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and love our stay with them. It is very close to the airport which we love. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is very nice with plenty of variety. My only con about hotel is the hot tub has never worked when we have stayed. Also they have ducks in the back pond which poop all over the front step and back sidewalks. I love animals but not a welcome sight to walk over that to get into hotel. Overall a great hotel and we will definitely return next year when we go to Tampa.

My family and I stayed for two nights at the Tampa Stadium Holiday Inn Express. The Hotel was very clean and felt new. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was great.
Beyond that we didn't have a great stay. When we arrived the front desk attendant never acknowledged I was a Priority Club Member. They incorrectly billed one of my rooms wrong. When I pulled up my confirmation email the attendant tried to fix it but when we check out it was still wrong. A different front desk attendant did credit my account. We were unable to connect to the hotel wifi either night. I called and asked them to re-set the router but it just wouldn't work. We chose this hotel for their park and sail option since we were in Tampa for a cruise. When we returned from our cruise I called to be picked up. The front desk attendant wanted a boarding number that I should have been given at check-in. I never received one. He told me the wait would be 90 minutes, which I felt was unacceptable since the hotel is only 15 minutes away from the port. We took a cab back to the hotel instead.
We were very disappointed with our stay. We chose to stay specifically at the Holiday Inn Express because we usually have a fantastic experience.

Shortly after checking in, the power went out. I was assured that this would take less than an (after walking down the four flights of stairs) hour.
This caused discomfort, as the room, which was in pitch blackness, to become hot. I had to shower in pitch blackness. The power did not come on until the middle of the night. Despite having tried to turn things off to make sure this wouldn't happen…there was no way to test it…several lights and the television woke me in the middle of the night when the power did come on.
A different unhappy experience:
I had to do laundry, and the sole dryer in the entire facility took many cycles, but as many ahead of me complained, never really dried the clothes. I still tried but in having to restart the dryer, I needed more quarters. I went to the front desk to get (there was no change machine by the washer and dryer) quarters, but the attendant said that he was "low on quarters, and I need to save them in case there are customers that need change." I didn't understand how i WASN'T a customer. I tried to explain this to him, but he only said that "you can go next door and ask at another hotel if they have change." Simply unbelievable.
So instead, i had to pack my wet clothes from the "dryer" to go find a Laundromat close by to finish the task.
A different unhappy experience:
I had to have the key re-programmed twice during my stay--which was only one night. This included once when the power was out, forcing another trip up the dark four flights of stairs up to the room and back.

Only one of the two elevators worked, creating long wait times.
