Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good and clean. What you think of with express We enjoyed it. Came fro airport. About 35 usd taxi ride and 30 minutes. A little further than thought. We stayed here for the rewards working on. Might have been cheaper after taxi to stay closer. Was clean and good place to stay but simple. Breakfast was simple. Basically I had coffee and fruit. The staff were really nice. I asked about being platinum and he told me he put me on a higher floor :) January 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room with not so professional service The room was very clean and comfortable, however, not all staff were good except for a girl. e.g. we were still sleeping and the cleaner just came in and said he was informed that we checked out already and the reception staff did not really sincerely apologize for this. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent room with good service - close proximity to airport Stayed one nite , was advised to hv bfast either 6 or after 8.30am to avoid the crowd. There are fair number of tour groups putting up at this hotel judging formt he crowd at bfast area in the morning. Recept is helpful in getting cab , even opening the door of the cab. However, would like to ensure that I was not charged since i paid with my IHG award points . Saw the hotel charges on my credit card bill online and send email - Have not heard from the hotel todate. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Interesting staff During my travels in Taiwan, Express Taoyuan is the 3rd Holiday Inn hotel I've ever stayed, and also the first one asked me to pay for the pre-authorization. There's nothing prepared in the mini bar, and I change the room with the reward points, so I can not understand why the staff insist me to do the pre-authorization and other Holiday Inn hotel not. And, can your staff also show their smiles? January 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Experience My husband and I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. When we checked in, I was given a coupon for a beverage. I asked for a second coupon, as there were 2 of us. I was dismayed when the staff member refused on the basis that only the Platinum member was entitled to one. Considering that the choice of beverages was only a soft drink, coffee, tea or a beer, all less than UD$1, it seemed chintzy and unwelcoming, particularly when we had paid for 2 people in the room. Our room was nice and very clean, but there was only 1 chair even though there was space for a second one. You should provide a second chair. Also, you should consider having a list of restaurants within walking distance. When we asked the staff person, she pointed at a noodle place across the street and we found out later that there were many other better options nearby. December 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Staff and overall pleasant, but a little smokey I stayed here for a single night before an early flight at Taoyuan airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They upgraded me to a nice room with a view, which I appreciated. However, even though the room was on a non-smoking floor, it smelled very smokey and my first thought when entering the room was to return downstairs and request a new room. If you are very sensitive to cigarette smoke you may want to try other places first, otherwise this is a nice hotel. November 21, 2013
