Very convenient location. Right off the freeway at Hwy58, when driving from LA or Vegas. The cleanlness of the lobby, grounds and rooms, should be able to entice guests tostay at this Holiday Inn. I would rcommend this place to frieds and colleagues. The staff is very helpful about area restaurants and drinking establishments.

My family and I were on our way to New Mexico when we stopped in to H I Express in Tehachapi w/o a reservation. We had planned to drive through the night but changed our minds. The weather was cold and threatening and we wanted to get inside somewhere and get a good night's sleep. The HI staff welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. We had a good night of rest, a fine breakfast, and got on our way again early the next morning. We were greatful to find a nice place in the middle of nowhere.

Our room was very comfortable, the beds were great! Received a good night's sleep. Breakfast was nicely prepared with alot of choices. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to traveler's wanting a nice, clean and friendly place to stay. The only negative I thought was the price was a little high. After check in I did hear the front desk clerk confirm a nightly price that was approximately twenty dollars less than the one we paid. I was too tired to ask about it as I just wanted to get to our room and go to bed.

The room was clean and well appointed. There was more than typical open space in this room, suite-like, as compared to other HI Ex locations. Breakfast choices and quality were excellent. The mattresses and pillows were also in excellent condition. The Air Conditioning and Heating worked well.
The only problem, tthe shower was only Warm, you couldn't get Hot water. Perhaps it was only a problem in this room or has been repaired by now, but it was rather disappointing on a cold morning in November to have a warm / cold. shower.

We have stayed at this special hotel for the past number of years. The service is wonderful from the the moment that you arrive at the front door. The staff are so rofessional, friendly and helpful. Each guest is treated so well. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable.
We enjoyed the selection of fresh fruit for breakfast.

We've stayed here several times and this last stay (10/20) was not acceptable. It wouldn't take much to improve and it's overdue! Pillows -- buy some new ones! Towels -- buy new ones!
The microwave on top of the refrigerator needs to have felt or something under it to eliminate very noisy vibration noise every time the refrigerator is on. The shower head was miserable, either too sparse or a solid stream, it wasn't adjustable to hold anything inbetween.
A week earlier (10/14), we stayed here in a different room and there was an old taco shell under the bed and the windows were filthy dirty on the outside with a name imprinted in the dirt. Who knows how long that was there but I asked the front desk to get it cleaned. It was cleaned by the time we returned a week later. That room was okay, otherwise.
We've regularly stayed at HI-Exp when we travel but Tehachapi needs to invest in it's site to keep customers.
I noticed TripAdvisor ratings are poor and I must say, I agree with them!
We don't want another experience like this at HI-Exp and are unlikely to return to Tehachapi. Why have Priority Club if we can't count on a reliable quality stay?
