When I stayed, there was a lot of construction. The windows were covered from the outside, and that left my room very dark during the day with no sunlight. I was not happy with that. Had I known, I wouldn't have booked there that night. When I expressed my concern to the front desk person, she told me all the windows were covered.

I don't mind completing surveys, but your survey is entirely too long and somewhat redundant.
In defense of the workers, I did not report the heating/air conditioning problem in room 237. The room was cold and never got warm. I was feeling a little under the weather and did feel like calling down for someone to check on the heat. As a result, I slept cold all night.
However, this one incident will not change my mind about staying at this hotel. This is the hotel I have chosen to stay in when I visit my sister and brother in Wake Village, TX. I will continue to stay at this hotel.

I always look for a Holiday Inn Express where ever I travel because I find them a great bargain in staying away from home. The rooms and hotel overall are always clean and welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the room is well supplied with everything I need. Thanks for making it easy to travel with HIE.

Using the IHG rewards club website, On 5 March, I made reservations for my wife and two sons at the Holiday Inn Express in Texarkana, located at 4545 Cowhorn Creek Road.
The location is perfect as it is located next to I-30. The facilities are comfortable and clean as are most Holiday Inn Express hotels I have been to.
I am military and deployed, but still try to make all hotel reservations my wife may need using the rewards club website as it in the past has been easier for her and simpler for managing our budget. My wife had a very good experience while staying the night at this location, but she experienced and is still dealing with the hassle of the check-out process that occurred on 7 March. Her and I wanted all charges for the reservation to remain on my credit card. She provided her credit/debit card upon checking in on the 6th and reminded the staff that we wanted all charges to remain on the card used to make the reservation; my credit card. As of 13 March she has still not received reimbursement of charges against her credit/debit card.
When trying to resolve the issue my wife was not treated like a customer who had experienced a mistake by the hotel staff, but she was treated like she was being a pesky customer. So while we will continue to use Holiday Inn Express locations, we will not ever again use this location and would advise others to use caution when thinking about this location; especially if you make your reservations using website or other virtual reservation services.
