Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What? No Bathtub??? The hotel was beautiful. After 12 hours traveling, it was great to see a very nicely designed 'home away from home'. HOWEVER- there was no bathtub! Where was I going to relax before bed???? And- no makeup mirror! I am 5'2"; I had to try to hope on the vanity in order to put my makeup on! That was not pleasant! Other than that, the hotel was very nice (though pricy for a HI), but I would stay there again (on business travel). Thanks for the nice stay. September 26, 2013

The only thing to say negatively would have to be the eggs for breakfast ....not so good. But nothing else negative. An awesome weekend. September 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exhausted Arrived exhausted and dirty. Front desk made check in easy and quick. Also knew the area well so I could get a change of clothes. I like this location because it is always clean and smoke and pet free. Nothing is worse than walking in a room that smells of smoke and pets . Thanks for keeping this location CLEAN! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great choice for Galveston Stayed with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We arrived late on a saturday night and checked in. Check in was easy and staff polite. We just went straight to bed. watched a little TV and was impressed with the amount of TV channels available. Room was well appointed with a microwave and fridge In the morning we got up and had breakfast which was much better than I expected, plenty of choices for all of us, all fresh and hot and the replenished constantly. Then we checked out and drove about 15 minutes to Galveston. The only negatives I can say that I know other people mentioned is the beds are extremely hard and there is only a shower no tub. Fine now my daughter is 4 but for families with younger children who need to be bathed quite impractical. A good stay in general and would stay again August 28, 2013

Only negative issue - not easy to find the entrance or best way to get back on I45 north the first time Stay there frequently for business - conveniently located between Galveston and League City - the 2 places that I need to be at August 19, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bad customer service My family and I picked this hotel over the competing ones closer to where we would be going because we had recently stayed at the one near the GB convention center in Houston TX and if was the best (great price, great room, great breakfast, great great great customer service!!) This one in Texas city was a big disappointment. The employees must hate their job and take it out on the customers. The ice machine on our floor was broken so we didn't get any during our stay which wasn't that big of a deal until we went to check out, we have a small cooler to carry insulin in for my Mom who is a diabetic, it can hold maybe a six pack of cans without ice. So we asked the Manager at checkout for some and she very loudly said we can't have ice for coolers only ice in the room bucket. This was embarrassing because everyone then in the lobby was looking at us because she was so loud and unfriendly. While we waited to be checked out she then started in on the next family by blurting out their business and arguing with them in front of everyone,they were obviously embarrassed also. Our relief was when she left temporarily and another employee came to help us, she was much more pleasant, the Manager returned just as the other employee was finishing checking out the other family, the Manager then finished our check out but before I could get out the door she started talking to me about the other family and how she didn't want to get a call on Monday. She then started in on the employee grilling her about how she was able to check them out. Horrible management skills!!!! August 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfy bed, clean rooms, friendly staff Our 1 and a half year old daughter LOVED the pool and the hotel staff were so friendly. The bathroom didn't have a tub, just a walk in shower (it was nice and big, though). I was concerned with how we were going to give our daughter a bath. We ended up just letting her stand in the shower with us, and she liked it, but it was complicated. We didn't ask if there were rooms available that had a tub, because we usually just work with what we have, so they may have rooms with tubs, I just don't know. Way too early for a vacationing family looking to sleep late! Even when I put the do not disturb sign on the door, I could hear them knocking on the doors next to us. Next time I will request housekeeping visit our floor later! August 12, 2013

The location is convenient, easy to find, and close to restaurants. Also, it has great access to freeways. The room was large, very clean and very quiet. Will stay again, if the situation permits. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always Great Stay I have been staying at this particular hotel for many years now and I have never received bad service. The staff are always very attentive and friendly. They know me and call me by name everytime they see me. The rooms are always comfortable and noise is kept to a minimum. My only criticism would be the breakfast options. The breakfast is the same at every Holiday Inn that does not have a full service restaurant. I travel a lot and get tired of the same thing every morning. I have gotten to the point that, unless I am really hungry, I will typically just skip breakfast. A different/better variety would be welcomed. April 22, 2013

This is my third time to stay in this hotel and each time has been great. I've stayed in many hotels and this is my favorites in Texas City. Great price/value! October 26, 2012
