After almost two full weeks roaming around north Africa and Spain, we spent two of the final three nights in HIEX properties in Algeciras (excellent experience) and our last night in Tres Cantos.
After spending many nights in various riads in the medinas of Morocco, arriving at a Holiday Inn Express was like finally arriving home-full of the comfort and amenities that we have come to expect from HIEX around the world.
Our only small complaint about the property in Tres Cantos is the necessity of paying for parking or finding someplace on the street.
Otherwise, we were treated royally and immensely enjoyed a very relaxing night before heading to Baranjas to fly home.

I chose this hotel as the área sounded OK from the discription, which was the case. I was traveling north to Bilbao and the detour was worth it. The room was slightly better than you might expect from a HIE and the bed for once was not rock hard! The hotel staff were an obsolute joy, extremely helpful and pleasant. Although my experience in the Madrid area has always been favourable. Good choice of restaurants within a 10 min walk.
Only gripes are; the awful choice of English speaking programes on the telly, BBC world news aargh! And CNN. I thought 10€ for the parking a bit steep, although there is street parking if you can find a spot.
I will return.

The staff at the Holiday Inn Express Tres Cantos is the most friendly team I've met in a hotel. I've been in thousands of hotels abroad and in our country and I must tell that the only one where I really feel at home is the Holiday Inn Express Tres Cantos. In addition to a comfortable bed, a perfect bathroom, an excellent breakfast, etc, HIE Tres Cantos has even something more.
I have the impression that staff at Tres Cantos believe that each stay and each customer are unique, as unique are themselves. Each customer is "the" customer and each stay is "the" stay.
Staff at Tres Cantos have the very rare but wonderful ability to place themselves at the other side of the desk to help, to inform, to prevent from, to advise, etc. The way they help you makes you to save a lot of time and errors the first time you visit Madrid.

Calm Hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is ist a 5 min walk to the station.

Aconsejo este tipo de hotel para viajar en familia; buena localización , cerca de la estación de cercanias y de restaurantes; no tuvimos que mover el coche hasta que nos fuimos. El trato con el personal, excepcional.
