Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place for BIG Families to Stay We are a family of 6. The room featured bunk beds with kid-friendly sheets and double beds. There was a microwave and small fridge. The kids loved the pool and stuffed themselves at the breakfast bar. The staff was friendly and the hotel was well kept. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again! August 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Run down, dirty, and no wireless internet We booked this hotel because it was a Holiday Inn Express, but it does not present itself as so! It was very old and in need of maintenance. It was like a step back In time, stuck in the 90s. The bathtub was disgusting! It was old, stained and peeling...totally not what we expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The room was not as clean as it should have been...thinking staff are stretched too thin. The common areas were not clean or fresh-smelling either. The breakfast bar had only one attendant, and she was kept very busy. Other hotels we visited had two attendants to keep the bar stocked and the area clean. At one point the manage/owner walked in the breakfast area and noticed deficiencies, but instead of lending a helping hand he continued chatting on the phone and walked in the back. Poor management/leadership! In addition, we were unable to access the internet in our room...very inconvenient! Although the cost was comparable to other Holiday Inn Express Hotels we have stayed in on our vacation from TX to PA, this particular hotel is not of the same quality. Very disappointing! The management/owner should put more money into the hotel to bring it up to standard! July 28, 2014

Staff (Ashley and others) were all very pleasant and helpful - we are staying here again on our way home. Too often folks complain when things go poorly and forget to give kudos when things go well - the team at this location appear to be committed to doing things the right way, keep it up! July 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Stay in Troy This Troy, IL Holiday Inn Express and its staff were a great halfway stopping point during our recent Oklahoma to Michigan trip, we'll definitely stay again. Its conveniently located at the I-55/I-70 junction and the staff (Ashley) were helpful, pleasant folks both on the phone and at arrival / departure. Too often we only complain about our experiences, this team here is getting it right so far, keep it up. July 11, 2014
