This was one of the nicest Holiday Inn Express hotels. They are all nice but this one was exceptional. We had a handicap room and it was so nice for my husband and meet his every need. thanks again Holiday Inn Express for being proactive and helping our disabled citizens.

Since the stay was the night before and the day of Thanksgiving, we were asked if we required any room services. The custodial services were given Thanksgiving off to be with their families and any required maintenance on our part would have been provided by the managerial staff. We told Taylor that we would not require any services as we would be out of the room most of the day. Wednesday evening we were roused from our room by a fire alarm triggered by a cigar smoker smoking in his room. Guests gathered in the lobby while Taylor dealt with the alarm and fire department. Taylor handled the situation admirably and the guests soon returned to their rooms for a pleasant nights sleep. The alarm, by the way, was a false alarm, and all guests seemed to handle the situation with a smile on their faces--as I have said, Taylor handled the situation extremely well.
I did notice, though, that the Holiday Inn in Tipp City, about 5 miles further south, had the same amenities for several dollars less to they may get our business the next stay.
A last note--TV in the room had a very poor remote control.

I had a reservation to check in on Thanksgiving after two other hotels in Troy had disappointed me with their facilities (pool closed, no hot water). I got a call that morning (after checking out of another hotel) telling me that the two queen bed suite I reserved would not be available that day because an IHG Rewards member wanted a late checkout and housekeeping would not be around that afternoon. With a family of five, I needed the space provided by that room, so this was a great disappointment to me. The hotel offered to put us in a king suite with a pullout and a rollaway and give that room to us for the night for free. Upon arrival to the room later that day, a gift bag of snacks and a nice note from the manager welcomed us to an impressively large room. We had a king bed sleeper sofa, and a rollaway bed, and there was still room to do cartwheels in the room. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished. I will definitely be back.
