Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exemplary Hotel Standard and Staff We stayed here on the penultimate night before departing Arizona after travelling around the State for some 2 weeks. Therefore, this gave us an ideal benchmark by which to judge this hotel. We found it to be superbly appointed and with a very high standard of decor and presentation. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Having travelled extensively on our various sojourns from the UK we can honestly say that this hotel is right at the top of our list. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice property, great staff!! Very clean and well maintained property. The staff is always very helpful. The rooms are pretty typical for a motel. The reception area, breakfast area, pool and patio are above standard. I have stayed here on numerous occasions with my family, and our grandchildren love it!! If possible, ask for your room poolside, sometimes, not always, there is an odor from the dairy farm (?) on the west side. March 2, 2013

(Mainly to see my Aunt and Uncle who come for it) And this year was no different. I love staying at this hotel. It's always clean, the breakfast every morning is wonderful and the staff are so courteous. When I arrived Friday, Angel was in the breakfast area again...and he remembered me from years past. He is a great asset to your hotel...very attentive to the guests. He even was very helpful when my Aunt arrived ill this year and would make a tray for my Uncle to take up to her room. He is so sweet,! The only think I thought was not perfect during this stay, was during my check in process. The staff behind the counter where busy talking in Spanish to someone standing at the counter, while checking me in. Not a very welcoming check in at all. I felt like I was bothering them for wanting to check into my room. But, if that's the worst of it, I'll take it! Once again, it's a great place. February 19, 2013

BUT the beds are horrid, a first for us in our many stays with HIE. Inspite of all the positives, unless this changes, we would seek other options in Tucson. February 13, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Area The Breakfast area was GREAT! BUT it seems like a wasted space if they close the entire room off after breakfast. There is a nice coach, TV with table and chairs in that room. With the lobby being so small, there isn't anywhere really for guest to hang out. If they would close off half the breakfast room after breakfast, and kept the remaining area open with the TV etc, it would be much more appealing to the guests. January 28, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A hotel is only as good as it's bed A nice room with fridge, microwave, good tv, shower was good. We didn't stay long, but the bed was uncomfortable and if the bed is uncomfortable then nothing else matters. If you want to sleep past sun-rise, the curtains don't hold out much light and the neighbors were loud in the hallway. Not a good sleep overall. January 11, 2013

We were able to enjoy dinnner and a movie the next day without driving all over town! The staff is friendly and the breakfast is very good! January 2, 2013

The breakfast is excelent. Take care of the "hot sauce" is really hot but the best flavor. The beds seems to be new, firm, clean. I will not change this hotel. December 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Hotel is easy to access from anywhere. Alot of good resturaunts close. Room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping does a great job. The staff at times seemed to be busy with their personal phone calls, and one evening I think one of their boyfriends was hanging out at the front desk. Not very professional. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay at another HI Express I am a frequent Holiday Inn Express guest and a Priority Club Rewards member. One thing I love about this hotel chain is consistency: great service, decor, room stay, and overall quality is top of the line. This was my first time at this particular HI Express and I stayed at this location on points. I had not planned on staying here as I was displaced due to Hurricane Sandy, but figured I would have another consistent experience. First, when I walked into my room, there was not a 32-in LCD TV as was stated when I reserved the room. I did tell the staff later and they said it was most likely an error in their system, but it wasn't a big deal at the time until all the other details added up. I didn't notice until the 2nd day, but there was hair in my hair dryer. When I left my room after the first day, I ran into who I thought would be my housekeeper and asked her if she was cleaning my room next and she said yes. When I came back a few hours later, the room was still dirty. I could not get a good Wi-Fi signal in my room and with my flights continuously changing because of the storm, I had to check the internet and it was a good thing they had the business center free. The fitness center was not clean and the TV remote was broken. Also, someone had stuck gum on the elevator numbers. I did talk to someone and they were able to remove it, but it was all the little things that added up to a very below average experience. As a priority club member, I've stayed in over 50 different Holiday Inn's and this was the worst of them. November 8, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some work Front desk attendant was in a conversation with what appeared to be the significant other, upon arrival. Became a ritual throughout the stay and called the front desk rather than visit in-person. Wi-fi connection was horrible and hasn't been fixed two-weeks later. October 26, 2012
