Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Frequent guest Staff have always been very pleasant and helpful during multiple stays during several years. We visit family and stay over one or two nights every 6 weeks or so. Location of hotel is ideal for our purposes. Nearby airport activity is generally not noticeable except on military training days when extensive jet aircraft take off, often more than one at a time. Hotel bathrooms were not attended to during extensive appearance remodeling over past year. We have had several issues with toilets not flushing or continuing to fill after flushing, mentioning to staff each time. These experiences involved several rooms. July 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hotel of my trip I stayed there for 3 nights and then moved to another hotel in town that was a little cheaper and realized why. Then I moved to another hotel and was disappointed again so for the remainder of my trip (even though it is on the opposite side of town from where I was doing most of my business) I booked at this hotel for the remainder of my stay in Tucson. I highly recommend this location, for the money it is the best for having 24/7 coffee and free breakfast. Also within close distance of Denny's and Burger King as well as two gas stations. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very accomodating staff. The room was smaller than at many other HIE. Normally it wouldn't have made a difference but walking with a walker didn't require an accessible room the bathroom was difficult navigate. We did request a ground floor room and were put on the 2nd which was not a problem with the elevator. The room was clean and comfortable, the A/C was difficult to operate since the unit controls had been switched to a wall thermostat and it was either blowing hard and fast or too hot. The ceiling fan in the room was a nice touch. The shuttle driver Nick was great. July 7, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service, little else of note The service staff were very inviting and accommodating. Other than that, I'd recommend avoiding this particular hotel. I've stayed at enough Holiday Inn Express properties to qualify for Platinum status a couple times over, and this one had outstanding staff. However, the room and other actual amenities were sorely lacking. Compared to the average Holiday Inn Express I've experienced, the hotel was relatively old. The bathroom, while clean, was in need of upkeep (the shower head could have used a good 20-minutes soak in CLR). The sink in our suite LITERALLY fell out of the counter-top, which kept us from being able to brush out teeth or take care of hair or other hygiene/appearance issues halfway through our stay. While normally a minor concern of mine, the television directory provided in the hotel's literature was 100% inaccurate. None of the listed cable channels were correct. Instead, HD antenna-provided channels were available. Luckily, this gave us access to World Cup matches, but all other listed channels were either missing or sorely incorrect. The staff, again, was very polite, and they seemed to do what they could, but compared to the average Holiday Inn Express at which I've stayed, this property is old, somewhat worn out, and it's both incorrectly advertised and sorely lacking in terms of basic standards compared to the rest of the chain. Please note: I absolutely do not fault the staff (at least those with whom I had any dealings). They were as pleasant and helpful as I could expect or hope. The property itself was woefully lacking though. July 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I had the pleasure of staying at this Holiday Inn Express and was very happy with the excellent customer service and comfortable clean rooms. The young lady at the front desk (I think her name was Cheri or something like that. Sorry I can't remember your name) found me a King size bed when my rewards night booked me a room with two double beds. The nice and helpful shuttle driver Nick was very attentive and took me to the grocery store so I didn't have to drive. I really appreciated that after being in meetings all day. This is a great place to stay! I highly recommend it. June 24, 2014
