Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room after a long road. We were pleasantly surprised at the lovely hotel, after a long day of travel. The bed and linens were in wonderful condition. The chair and ottoman were a welcome area to relax. The breakfast was good, but about the same as other Holiday Inn properties. Our only complaint was that the staff was not friendlier. We asked for places to eat, but they said check the book, in our room. But when we did their were only 4 selections, and no directions, to them. Thank goodness for our smart phones. We made it to the one we had chosen, only 10 minutes before closing. It would have been helpful to have directions and hours of business. November 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and super-clean room We were traveling to Phoenix and needed to rest. The room here was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. MORE importantly, when we had to leave at 2:00 a.m. to get to our destination on time, David at the front desk promptly made us a pot of coffee, opened the dining area, put out some food for us and was friendly, courteous and really helped us get a happy start to our long day on the road. We regretted that we didn't think to tip him for the service that was absolutely beyong the norm. Thanks, David! November 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WiFI connection non existent This hotel is conveniently located and a newer property, which is why the terrible internet connections are so surprising and frustrating. We came in and tried to connect to our site to check on our business. After almost 20 minutes! of waiting to connect the system shut us down. We tried to connect to the Holiday Inn Site...again no luck. This is ridiculous. We need to be in touch with our customers, our family and this hotel cannot offer any reliable service. I spoke to the manager after our frustrating stay and he told me the problem would be solved, since they had tech help coming in to check and correct the problem. On that basis we rebooked for our return. Same problem. There are other places to stay near Tucumcari or in the city. The problem is with the local service provider, but other options exist for businesses. We will not be back here on our next trip through the southwest. November 11, 2014

The only problem is the breakfast is to late for someone getting on the road and they have the breakfast room closed off so you feel reluctant to go in and get coffee. I like a breakfast early and sure others do to to get moving. At least let you come in and get a bagel and peanut butter or something. November 11, 2014

We were extremely tired on long road trip from Toronto Ontario on way to Mesa Arizona and this hotel came at the right time. Thank goodness my son and daughter in law did some research online and told us to look at this hotel. Highly recommended. Larry November 10, 2014

The two people working the front desk were not very friendly or helpful when I asked where is a good place to eat in the area. Their response was McDonalds or Subway at 7:00 in the evening I taught there would be more than that available. I was not recognized as a IHG member. November 10, 2014
