Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room, great service! We stayed at the HIE in Mar of 2013. The Hotel staff arranged a driver to take us to the Sumidero Canyon and the Zoo who was very helpful and, unexpectedly, a good guide. The room was great and our car was safe in the Hotel's parking lot. In addition the Hotel is near the Marimba Park and we enjoyed our stroll to the music and found excellent places to eat as well. We have been recommending this hotel to all our friends. Great value! March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay I went to Tuxtla in a business trip and i stayed at Holiday Inn Express "La Marimba" I had such a great time there, the staff is realy nice, the room is excellent for rest after a dayjob and besides that the hotel is located near a park where you can enjoy a "Marimba" show, around the park youll find a lot of food options. Defenitly i spend a great time in Tuxtla and in the Hotel Holiday Inn Express March 6, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice option The good things: The hotel its located in a wonderfull place, near from almost everything and the overall experience is very good. The bad things: The breakfast is very bad, with no taste at all, and no variety...we stayed for almost a week and it only took 3 days to realize that the breakfast is not an option in the place... The other bad thing is the Parking service, even when the cast tried to be very nice, the real thing is that there´s not enough people to help you anytime yuo arrive, so you shoul wait for someone to pick your car and once it took almos 20 minutes for someone o get there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent home away from home Just spent a week in Chiapas and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is comfortable and well situated for walking both day and night. The breakfast of regional cuisine makes the stay both affordable and convenient. Don't miss out on the fresh fruit, black beans with cream and cheese, and the fried plantain..mmm. The Parque La Marimba is a short walk from the hotel as is the Parque Morelos. I recommend the tacos and quesadillas at Restaurant Las Pampas in Morelos. As you may have guessed, I really love the Chiapanecan food! October 29, 2012
