Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DISINFECTANT SMELL WAS OVER-POWERING We stayed just a short time, but the smell of disinfectant was over-powering in the room. In the hallway, there was just a "strong" smell. The lobby didn't stink. I recommended an alternate disinfectant. August 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Dear Holiday Inn Management, My wife and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Twentynine Palms from Friday 07/26/2013 through Monday 07/29/2013. I wanted to let you know that we were very impressed with several of your employee's. First is Mona who works in registration. She made sure that we had everything we needed at check in and provided us with a map and directions for local restaurants. She was friendly, always greeted us with a smile, and she had a great outgoing customer oriented attitude. She was exceptional! We were over-impressed with the service provided and the extra effort that she made to make sure we had everything we needed. It was very impressive that she took the time to make sure that everything was alright and that we were satisfied customers. She made us feel very welcome and her attention and concern for our needs was very sincere. We would be remiss not to mention another employee (Lisa# that works in the breakfast area over the weekend. We can basically echo the same comments about her as well, she was also extremely friendly, always smiling, and displayed a pronounced obvious positive customer attitude. There are also some other employees who displayed positive customer service #person in breakfast area on Monday), and I truly believe it is due to customer oriented leadership. We know how routine it is for customers to complain, and we wanted to send in a positive comment and express our thanks for a great stay which enhanced our visit to see our son in the Marines and his family, especially our new granddaughter. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A True Oasis in the Desert While driving from the Grand Canyon to Los Angeles we decided to break the trip in Twentynine Palms and see Joshua Tree National Park. I chose the Holiday Inn Express because of the reveiws on Trip Advisor and they were right. Starting with the very attractive "walk-in" rate, to the expedited check in as a club member to the information about the town and the restaurant recomendations and the directions to the 4th of July fireworks, made for a short but memorable stay. Both front desk workers were wonderful and helpful. My wife left her purse in the breakfast room and we got a call within minutes that it was at the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to be in the area. It was very convenient to one of the park entrances and I am very pleased that we chose to stay here. July 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thumbs Up! I was traveling with my 7 month old nephew and my sister in law. From our check in to our check out, our stay was great. The staff was awesome! Very friendly! Nothing but smiles and help! The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Very family oriented place. The breakfast was good. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! I woke up the next morning hoping they had more! There is plenty of parking. I definitely recommend this place and would stay there again in a heart beat! Thumbs Up!!! July 10, 2013

The room decor from the furnishings and floor to ceiling, were very stylish. The next morning the breakfast area was nice and clean and the selection was good and varied. Check out was smooth and personnel were very helpful. We became IHG Rewards Club members because of this stay. July 2, 2013

We were tired and grumpy by the time we made it to the hotel and we were greeted warmly and as priority club members right off. She was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great welcome We arrived to be greeted by Robert who quickly filled us in with all the information we needed for our stay in the area. Mona the receptionist sorted us out a room at the back away from the road. Rooms were large, comfortable and well equipped. Shower great after day in the desert heat and complimentary drinks and nibbles were very welcome. Bed comfortable and hotel generally quiet. Breakfast next morning had good variety and all well presented. All in all one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed in. Only point would be the noise of the air conditioning at night. But the room was cool without it in spite of the desert temperatures so no problem really. June 6, 2013

You HOPE it's as good as you've come to expect. You HOPE the staff is friendly and helpful. You HOPE the room is clean. You HOPE for a good breakfast... I stayed here on the 16th and 17th nights of a coast-to-coast-to-coast motorcycle trip. For the rest of this trip, and during future travels, I HOPE the hotels I stay at are as nice as this one! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An Unexpected Treat Peg, the lady that checked us in, noticed that I was a priority member, and unexpectedly upgraded us to a suite. It was a wonderful treat, and totally unexpected but appreciated. The hotel was relatively new and had all the amenities that we desired. The room was quiet and close to the elevator which we requested. Peg also recommended a restaurant for us that met our desires. It was a wonderful stay, and if in the area again, we will definately stay here. April 5, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant surprise! We stayed in this hotel on our way to Joshua Tree. We came in later in the day and very tired. The woman that greeted us at the desk was fantastic, she was welcoming, friendly and instantly made us feel better for just stopping by. The hotel is newer , clean typical Holiday Inn, on the good side for this chain. But it is the staff that makes this place stand out. I spend several nights every year in hotels, I rate this hotel as one of the best. March 27, 2013

The Holiday Inn Express at Twentynine Palms was no exception. Great hot tub and HEATED pool helped us relax after a day of hiking in Joshua Tree national park. A friendly staff and good breakfast also made our stay perfect. Comfortable beds, large selection of tv channels and a very clean room were nice too. If we come back to the area, this is where we will stay. February 11, 2013
