Walls were paper thin and could hear everything from guest next door. Not guest fault, but the walls. Manager stated they had this problem and thought they had sound proofed all the rooms, but must have missed mine.
Also could not do my job as the internet speed was to slow to make anything work. This includes me using the computers in the business center that were hard wired. They called AT

We recently committed to be an IHG member and this property confirms our choice was the right one. This is a new property with current features and all the amenities with great value. Very quiet for being located next to the airport. The only improvement is the breakfast room was extremely busy on Sunday morning. The team was short staff and did not get our check correct. We waited so long for food, service and the check so we did not have additional time to go back and get the check corrected. The servers were doing their best and were very friendly and worked hard. The management should have added staff to help. The food was good and the room and hotel were excellent too.

We were in Oakland for a baseball game and were not sure where to stay so we took a chance and are thrilled that we chose this location.
Great staff, very clean new rooms. We had a suite and it was perfect to have a small fridge, a livingroom space and large bedroom and bath.
They accommodated us for shuttles back and forth to the Coliseum and BART station.
Our only challenge was the restaurant was short staffed and we experienced great service and terrible service but understand because they were so busy.

Everything with our room as well as staff was perfect. However, we had to pay for what we thought was a complimentary "Continental Breakfast". It was set up like any other free Continental Breakfast i've experienced so we got our food and sat down. Not only until we saw others being handed a check and a small plaque on the wall "Independently owed and operated" did we know it wasn't part of our room cost. There should be menus on the table showing cost of breakfast and better signage stating cost for breakfast.

This hotel is one of the best I have stayed at. Brand new, super clean, and every staff member I spoke with during my 3 night stay were top notch service providers. I couldn't ask for any better! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Oakland.

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites by the Oakland Airport was very safe and clean. We were impressed with the free shuttle transportation service that we used on a daily basis to get to the BART station. Overall had a great stay at the facility.

We recently spent one night at the hotel to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. The room was quite comfortable. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. A good choice for convenience.

I am a IHG Platinum member. I stay at alot of Holiday Inn all over the Western coast at least 10 days a month. very noisey room, real thin walls. I could everything on TV or conversations. kept me up all night just from people talking. They charge $8.00 for parking??? But I am staying here. I guess the cost of the room did not cover the cost of the gate. no breakfast they said my RATE did not include that. 1st time that has happened. I have never felt like I did not matter.... Then I stayed here. Very Disapointed!!!

Don't fight the traffic if going to the Oracle, or going to an Oakland baseball game. FREE SHUTTLE to your event! We're so happy we decided NOT to purchase the expensive parking pass when purchasing our concert tickets.

I would most definetly stay again - our reservation was for a 3 person room - however the 3rd person was not able to make the trip and when we got to hotel we asked if there was anyway we could change the room to 1-king there was no reason for us to use a room that we did not need - the young gentleman - Nathan - was more than generous when he upgraded up to a 1 bed suite which was awesome - nothing we expected -- go Nathan -- the bed extremely comfortable - the whole stay was very relaxing -- the bar/restaruant was nice - we only had a few beers (didn't try the food) however Hillary the bar tender / waitress was awesome as well ..she was very friendly - being on vacation and from TEXAS we needed some insight on great food places and other attractions -Hillary again was very helpfull -- going out this was again in a year so will most likely stay again --

When we are in the area, we will undoubtedly return to this hotel. We appreciated that the 2 beds in our room were King size beds and spacious rooms. Having a mircrowave and refrigerator in our room was a plus.

My stay was one of the best stays I have ever experienced in a hotel. There were 2 of us in the room so having 2 king beds in our sleeping room was a bonus. From the shuttle driver, to the front desk check-in staff, Tony, (sales coordinator), banquet and restaurant staff, they were all very professional and accommodating would highly recommend his hotel To everyone!

Bad experience. Staff was not accommodating. A/C unit in room was not working and staff sent an unskilled employee to fix. Employee turned fan from auto to on and indicated that it was fixed. Worked for about ten minutes. Never resolved. When asked to speak to Manager the next morning, was told he was not in. Requested that he call us upon arrival at hotel in roughly 30 minutes. Never made contact with us. Prior to departure, asked again to speak with Manager and was told that he was in a meeting. Never able to speak with Manager. Stayed at this same location approximately six months ago and enjoyed the stay. Has gone down hill over the past six months. NOT RECOMMENDED

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times. It usually clean and a great experience. However, on my stay march 9, 2014, my room wasn't as clean as usual. The floor hadn't been vaccumed and the bathroom had clearly been done very quickly and had streaks everywhere. Not up to par for this hotel. I have stayed since and it was back to being great.

I have to say the front desk staff goes beyond the call of duty. They are truly nice and most friendly people I have ever found in a service industry. I'm sure this is due to an outstanding front desk management staff. I wish that other companies could follow your style.

I had a January conference in San Francisco and needed 2 rooms so my family of 5 could travel with me. We travel to spend time in the place we are visiting and not in the hotel. I seek a place to stay that is reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, safe, and near public transportation. This Holiday Inn exceeded all of my criteria. The rooms and hotel are immaculate and new. The staff is genuinely friendly without invading your privacy and keep the place running smoothly. There is a nice (small - how many people really utilize this anyway) exercise room in which I actually ran twice. They offer a free shuttle van which we took to the BART station every morning, never having to wait for more than 10 minutes. It is a 5 minute drive. In the evenings on the the way back we took the AC Transit since it is right across the street from BART but you can call the hotel and they will send the shuttle if you prefer.
Overall this hotel is a great way to visit the bay area leaving you money to actually spend on restaurants, museums, and sporting events in the area.
