Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room,minuscule bathroom,average breakfast Checked in late at night Prompt service. Room was clean with comfortable bed. HVAC system worked well. Bathroom was so small that while standing at sink my knee was braced against the commode. However, shower /bath was adequately sized. TV remote was problematic. At breakfast tasted a cup of decaf coffee. Was so weak decided to skip breakfast and checked out and went to eat elsewhere. Overall, an okay experience, nothing to cheer about. January 21, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Customer Service! I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Van Nuys during a business trip. Not only was the room reasonably priced, neat and ready, and the bed comfortable, but the desk staff took care of some last minute copying I needed for a conference. They took my originals and made the copies without hesitation and with a smile ... and refused any additional compensation for their effort! [ I made that up later :-) ] Thank you for the outstanding customer service! December 26, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled funny, Hotel in horible part of town Overall this was the worst Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at. The hotel itself is pretty old, possibly rennovated but not recently. My room had a rather funky odor, I noticed it the entire stay, in fact when I got home and unpacked my luggage I noticed that all my clothing had the same smell. The business center only had one computer and the internet connection was super slow. Not even a hot tub!~ Not as nice as the other Holiday Inn Express's I have stayed at for sure. December 5, 2012

It has a very convenient location, wonderful staff, and all the amenities one expects from an HIE EXCEPT a refrigerator in the room. I was given directions to a fabulous local restaurant called Lulu's by the nice front desk lady. Well worth asking about, and do ask because they're not open certain days. Fridges in the rooms would make it just about perfect. November 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Nice Place after a Very Long Day As Priority Club Members we frequently use Holiday Inn Express as our choice when we have no prior reservation. After 400+ miles of traveling and hours of traffic in Los Angeles and Burbank we chose this place to get out of the city. Although a little of the beaten path when we arrived and asked if they had a room the the women at the check in was more than accommodating and even commented :"it looks like it has been a long day". We were rapidly checked in as well as thanked for being priority club members. As usual the room was clean and quiet, breakfast was more than enough. This was the 3rd of 4 times we spent in a Holiday Inn Express on our 9 day trip to California. November 7, 2012
