I was checked in a incomplete dirty room
Beds mattress were old totally uncomfortable
Requested room change at lest for the next day which was denied
At the breakfast the refrigerator was completely empty
Nothing at all . It was a horrible stay .I talked to the manager three days after to share the experience , then realized why her front desk was so rude ,after all they were trained to be like that. I have used my priority club for the stay this time . Their attitude was 'free guest who cares ,.

Room is smaller and older than most HIE. The breakfast should provide more hot items. The room is clean but the bathroom is small.

My recent stay at this location was excellent. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms look brand new! The staff was always courteous and helpful, which made our stay very relaxing. We will definitely be staying at this hotel next time we are in town!

After some disagreement with Management and point which was corrected and adjusted by the Hotel Manager, I found myself asking question about the hotel and its service to my surprice its all there they got everything you need for long stays and comfortable for the short stays. For the value and the area you cannot ask for more.

We initially booked for one night but due to good services, perfect location and perfect pool, we stayed for three nights. The purpose of our visit was vacation with the family.
Anna at the front desk was always very helpful. This hotel is the perfect base for visiting the LA area.

I have visited Los Angeles three times, and I have stayed here 4 nights for each visit. The room each time has been clean and kept that way each day/night. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is my last visit there were noisy guests in the hallway around midnight one night. Next LA visit...I will be making a reservation here.

Everything was going so well when we checked in. I paid for one night with points and one with cash so we had basically two reservations (which is something I don't understand). The front desk assured me that we wouldn't have to worry about it and we could keep our room for the two days. We get home late that night and fall asleep.
I wake up the following morning, at 6am, to someone entering our room. It is another guest wondering why I am in his room. Apparently the front desk never made a note that we were still in the room. Or that we had the room in the first place.
That left a sour taste in my mouth for this property. It gave me impression that something else was going to go wrong like someone being in our room when we got back the next night. I probably won't stay at this location again.

I checked in at 10pm on July 27th. Tired and looking forward to going straight to bed, I entered a room with an unmade bed, a missing pillow or two, and personal belongings left from a previous guest including a used contraceptive. When I called the main desk to have the room cleaned/have the bedding changed, I was sent a security guard to help me change the bedding. I was flabbergasted my room was not ready (since it was 10pm), but then to be charged the full price when I checked out, I was astonished. I spend at least 1 night a week at a Holiday Inn Express every week. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told they would not be in until Monday. I called Monday and again on Tuesday and the GM had still not called me. A person called me Wednesday to say I would get $10 off my room (which not even that actually happened). This situation was more than deplorable, it was repulsive and then to be ignored by management, I am questioning my entire relationship with IHG. I feel as though I am entitled to an entire refund and if there had been any other room in the area that night I would have left. Please contact me a.s.a.p. with rectification of this horrific customer service situation. Thank you.

We stayed at this property while we went to Universal Studios. The plan was to stay an extra day to hang out at the pool and soak up some SoCal sun. Problem was, as the front desk clerk nonchalantly explained to us, "no one showed up to measure the pool ph so it's closed." The pool area was closed our entire stay and there was no offer of compensation or even a simple apology. We won't be back.

I understood that an IHG Reward member would be recognized upon arrival with a gift pack and acknowlegement. Did not receive either and when asked if they had any gift pack items they could not find anything. This was my only disappointment, although I found the same at other locations during our vacation.

Convenient to LA, Hollywood, Santa Monica without all the cost. Next to highway and lots of restaurants close drive. Super clean with good breakfast. Located in semi commercial area, but no noise or issues about safety.

The pool was out of service without proper notice. When booking the reservation, I specifically choose a property with a pool. The corporate reservation line obviously was not informed that the pool was out of service as they directed me to this property at my request to have a property with a pool. I did not know of the pool closure until I checked in, which at that point was too late to change reservations because it was the end of a long drive for us and also because the reservations were made less than 24 hours in advance, and were not within cancellation policy. Catch 22! Big disappointment. The breakfast area is extremely tiny for the size of property. The breakfast line was long and set up in such a way that the entire line was stalled at the beginning with people making pancakes. The breakfast service was shut down exactly at closing time even though many people had not yet reached the food and were waiting for 20 minutes in line prior to breakfast closing. Very inconsiderate of the hotel! The food was not refilled even though all those present and waiting by closing time were not able to fill their plates and/or enjoy the breakfast. They shut the food down right in front of those that had been waiting! Several guests complained and were handed bananas and muffins but the hot breakfast (eggs, sausage) did not get refilled. And I should mention, that only those very vocal customers that complained got the fruit/muffins. Again, very inconsiderate of the remaining folks that were waiting and had breakfast shut down in front of them while they stood in line. Very unprofessional. It created a swarming of guests around the food fighting over the last bits of food. I've never seen this type of conduct from a hotel. I've stayed at many hotels in this type of category (major chains), which too offer hot breakfast, and have never seen or experienced problems like this. I would expect at least the same level of courtesy and experience from a Holiday Inn property as I get from other (more) bargain priced chains that offer the same hot breakfast service.

When checking in I asked for an upgrade and was told no.. wasn't happy about that.. We went into our room and there was no fridge or microwave. I went down to the front desk to ask and was told that the rooms were just upgraded and the new fridges are in the cabinet.. I told him my cabinet was empty... was told they would bring a fridge into the room... there are no microwaves in the room .. guest microwave is off the lobby in the breakfast room in a cabinet under a counter... not very useable or viewable to guests makes you think they really don't want you to use it... the fridge arrived.. it was old and banged up and didnt fit in the cabinet and had to be put on the floor up against wall taking up space in an already small room for 4 people. We went to go use the pool only to find the beautiful pool was green and couldn't see the bottom of the pool. I was told someone would be coming by to fix it but it wouldn't be fixed in time for us to use it while we were there. I was dissapointed in several things but overall the property was clean.

all I did was sleep there and that was a great bed and glad they had some cable tv a fridge would have been nice though and more variety for breakfast and ice machine was broken on my floor and signs all over about some system down

The free wifi, complimentary breakfast, and friendly staff make this property a good deal. That said, the "fitness center" is really pathetic, with one decent treadmill and cycle machine. But no free weights or other resistance equipment make it pretty much useless. And the breakfast options are all low budget, low nutrition affairs. Add that to the crowd that forms early for breakfast, it's a bit tedious.

The overall feeling is a bad one.
Although the area temperature was 100+, the aircon wasn't working in the room when I came in (although I booked in advance).
When I turned it on - it was so noisy (running 'low') that I could not stand it.
Add to that the price - made the deal so bad that I left after 1 night (planned to stay longer).
Also, took the staff 10 seconds to clear all the breakfast buffet once the hour was over. 930 on a weekend - isn't that too early ?

I was very impressed with the renovations to this hotel.
I may not have chosen the hotel initially but the points plus $ made it exactly what we needed that night. We'd booked non-smoking at another hotel with one of those bidding sites but had to leave because our rooms were awful! and smelled of smoke. Holiday Inn rescued us! The King bed was VERY comfortable. Even though this hotel is next to the freeway, I experienced a quiet night's sleep. The free breakfast was pretty good too.
They're working really hard at this location to please their customers. Highly recommend.
