We made this Holiday Inn Express our way station for a long weekend trip to Seattle to catch the Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies football game. The weekend was great because of the company and the outcome of the game. Go Ducks!
The lodging at the Holiday inn Express was nice and also contributed to the quality of the weekend.

The hotel provides overall comfort similar to competitive brands with the exception of the exercise room. I have stayed here several times during the past few months and experienced the same problems every time I go to work out. There are no towels in the room, the cups for drinking water are missing, there is no disinfectant for sanitizing the equipment, and more importantly, the equipment does not function properly. I have reported one of the treadmills multiple times that the belt slips and the indicator lights do not work. As of yet, there has been no action to repair the equipment.

1. The front staff were very unfriendly and rude.
2. No clean towels for one entire day. Gave us hand towels and said "We have no clean towels you'll need to deal with what we give you" Rude! Never got any in one of the three rooms we reserved.
3. Didn't do light service on our rooms. 2 of the 3 got service on the very last night and got towels sometime after we left the hotel for the night, after 4pm.

I have stayed here several times this year becasue it is the closest location to where I have to work. The room and food service are terrific- but this hotel has the worst internet service of any place I have stayed at! Early morning about 5:00, the internet is fine- it gets bogged down between 6:00pm and 10:00pm- the hours that most travelers would be using it. If you depend upon fast and reliable wifi service- then skip this hotel until they can increase their bandwith. It's not just me- I have heard other travelers complaining about this at breakfast.

Our contact for group sales was excellent. Even with a number of changes and special requests we were treated well and everything came out exactly as we had requested.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. It was very quiet which was a surprise since there were a couple of different sporting teams on property.
The great room was a nice place to meet and relax at the end of the day.
Front desk and service staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Nicely located near the freeways and several restaurants and Starbucks.

We are long time "Priority Club" members...now it has been changed to IHG, and we are not sure if that is perhaps what caused our somewhat poor experience. We were redeeming one free night and we had paid for another night with points and $40.00. We had decided to add a third night at our own expense. This caused no end of confusion. We were charged for one of our discounted nights...still waiting for it to come off our credit card as "pending". Someone who we thought understood our situation more or less barged into our room, thinking it was "vacant". Another person knocked on our door, asking if we were leaving, but we still had two more nights booked. All in all, this did not lead to a relaxing experience, as we were in a state of wondering what would happen next. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, the location good, and we enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, which is always a perk. The new IHG brand does not seem to work well...their website is awful and we are very disappointed in something that we have enjoyed over the years that now seems to have changed for the worst.

When we arrived, we were assigned a room with people already asleep in it. After apologizing to the people I when down to the frontdesk and got another room. That room had someone's old slippers in the window. Finally I got to sleep only to be woken up, at 6:30 to a phone scam with someone pretending to be the Holiday Inn manager looking for room and credit card information. Need I say anymore.
