I had made an error on the date of my reservation when I did it online, I made it for Friday instead of Saturday night, and I tried to fix it, however the system would not change the date. I called central reservations and the CSA I talked to said she had changed it and all was fixed. WELL, when we went to check in we found out it had not been changed and we had been charged for the Friday night. The Clerk, who was very nice, called the Manager Priscilla and she said she would not do anything to help.. we would have to call Central Reservations again.. we did and after 45 minutes and 3 agents and a supervisor, which we had to explain our situation to each time, it was corrected. But very frustrating when Priscilla could have made such a difference in our experience. For that reason and the fact that the carpets very badly needed cleaning I would not stay here again. There are several other new hotels in the same area.
Also, if you are having breakfast in the hotel, make sure you get there before 9 a.m., it says to 9:30 which is ridiculous on a Saturday or Sunday morning, because we got there at 9:10 and there was no hot food and they would not restock.. Don't stay here...

We checked in on Halloween, to find the desk clerk wearing an Army uniform with a "do-rag" on his head. Since I had been driving for nearly 10 hours and had forgotten what day it was, this had me quite put off. Personally, I didn't think it was very professional. The room's carpet (room 213) was old and stained, particularly by the bathroom. The bathroom fan had so much dust hanging from it that it looked like it was hairy! We had numerous problems with the door keys (as did others in our group) and these problems were blamed on the mysterious "maintenance man". (He was apparently the cause of most problems in this hotel, according to the desk staff).
The beds were so hard I could barely sleep, and the air conditioner had a mind of its own. The third night we were there, we had to turn it down to 61F to get it to work at all! Then we spent the night getting up to turn it up or down to keep the room comfortable.
The last morning we were there, I overheard two of the housekeepers swearing and complaining about something in a most profane manner in the vicinity of the elevator. I hope there weren't any kids within earshot. If mine had been with me, I would have spoken to them about it.
The bottom line is that this hotel needs serious upgrading. I would not recommend staying here, especially when there are nicer hotels right next door.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn so that we could be close to family we were visiting and it suited us fine. It is a nice, clean and quiet hotel easily found off the I-95, next to an outlet center. So the location is for ease of travel, not pretty views. You'll have to drive for that. A free breakfast is a real bonus and there was anough choice to make us all happy. The fitness center has little to offer but that is made clear on their site. Would be quite likely to stay there again!

We enjoyed staying here as you are able to get a good night's sleep in a great bed. The staff are amazing. They are like family to us after several stays from the breakfast lady to the maid to the staff at the check in - check out counter.

The room was nice enough and the place was surprisingly quiet. All was good until the next morning. The shower didn't have hot water. Sink did, shower didn't. I had to go, so a cold shower it was. No adjustment would be given on check-out.

The staff is amazingly friendly and professional. If there is a draw back, it's that they don't have suites. But, then again, they never have had them.
The breakfast is typical Holiday Inn Express, but that is not their fault. It's about time for HIX to change the choices.
A real surprise in this HIX was the internet was reasonably fast. I have not had similar experience in others.
If you're in Vera Beach on business or just passing through on I-95, it is a good value, clean and secure.
If you are looking for a great steak, visit the 14th Street Steakhouse. I go there every time I'm in town. Filet mignon 8 oz.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DJR300 Poor Internet
I had alot of work to accomplish in my 2 days while staying there. Your hotel offers "Free Hi-Speed" internet....I found nothing hi-speed about it....when asked the front desk about my issue, I was told that they know its a problem and hopefully they'll upgrade their wi-fi in the future....
Had I known that prior to coming there, I definitely would NOT have stayed at this property !

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by shay27 Terrible WIFI, Friendly desk clerk
Recently stayed while my son was playing baseball at the Vero Beach Sports Complex 10 minutes away. Tatan at the front desk provided superb customer service. First night was not great as we were next to a room of loud, roudy baseball players until 1:30am. I let Tatan know the next morning and she assured me she would take care of it. She followed up with me later letting me know she spoke with the coach and it would not happen again. Second night was awakend by a malfunctioning fire alarm until 1:30-2am. First 2 nights were disappointing with terrible nights sleep. Spoke with Dustin about some sort of compensation and he assured me they would do something for me. I had to return 4 times, inquiring, for them to give me a few extra priority club points?? Location is excellent and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants and in a very safe area. Rooms were fine with fridge and microwave and extremely comfortable beds. Biggest downfall is the WIFI. No such thing as WIFI there. Do not expect to do anything on the internet. Front desk clerk Dustin told me it was a problem and the owners were thinking of upgrading it to stay competitive with surrounding hotels. Pool is very cold, but full sun and nice to sit around. Breakfast was good, but gets repetitive.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ron631 These things happen
A leak in the lobby caused water to be turned for a couple of hours on my second night of a two night stay but that night at about 11:30PM the fire alarm in the hall began going off intermittently (about 5 or 6 beeps every 10 minutes or so) until about 1:30AM,totally ruined nights sleep, called desk and was told a technician was working on it,no apology then or the next morning, also night one I called for a wake up call about 8:30PM and couldn't raise any one after many rings.I realize that things like the water(a note of explanation and apology was slipped under door) and alarm are unavoidable, but no apology for the alarm or no compensation of any kind offered, come on,if your sleep is interrupted for 2 hours in the middle of the night, that,s what I'm paying for.

I was in town to visit friends for a couple of days, and because I am a consummate visitor at Holiday Inn Express Hotels, it was a natural choice for me to stay here.
I was greeted very quickly and promptly, kindly and efficiently. The desk clerk described all the details to me, directed me to the elevator, and off I went. She also acknowledged that I am a Gold Priority Club Member.
Breakfast was well cooked. Perfectly. I enjoy the fact that Holiday Inn Express has protein choices on the breakfast buffet. This is one of the primary reasons I stay at Holiday Inn so frequently when I travel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Vero Beach area. It is quiet, convenient, comfortable, and great place to stop off for a while.

We had stayed there several times past years. It was not a good stay at all. The internet connection was unbelievably slow all through our stay, that we had never felt it before. Our sister stay at same time, too, she tried to print her boarding pass in the lobby, it took her 17 minutes to print 1 page, she had to refresh the page 3 times. There were 3 people waiting in line, she felt so bad and said she would never stay there again. For some reason coffee did not taste right. It was very weak like hot water. We always prefer to choose it because we always had a good feeling every time we stayed. Not this time. The timing could be very bad, too. The other hotel guests were very noisy, and we had to wear ear plugs when we slept. Hard to say we want go back again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by plainjane Entrance extremely difficult to find
Most difficult Holiday Inn entrance to find to I have ever experienced. After getting off I-95 there is no sign to indicate that the entrance is through the road to the Vero Beach Outlets. Realizing I had gone too far west and with the setting sun in my eyes, I turned around. Never thinking that the hotel entrance did not come directly off Rte. 60, I again went past the entrance to the outlets and wound up back on I-95. The next exit was 10 miles south. Therefore, I wound up going 20 miles extra. After going into the outlets entrance, there was no sign indicating that the access to the hotel was the first left which I only found after driving around the outlets. There ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to be better signage.
Once I finally found the hotel, everything was excellent. The only thing that would make it more comfortable would be a club chair in the room, as we had in Cocoa Beach, Saratoga Springs, and the Holiday Inn near Catskill, NY

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by roadman48 First Floor Handicapped Rooms
Booked two rooms for travelling with my Mom, who needs a handicapped room with bath facilities with a step-in shower. None available on the first floor with a shower seat. (?) How is a wheel-chair bound person going to get into a tub?
My room had issues with the heat-air conditioning unit. Management and maintenance staff very helpful, moved me to another room.
Overall experience here mixed but they need to get their act together with a handicapped facility on the first floor.

The hotel room was very quiet. The hotel seemed to be full most of the time and I did not hear other tv's, water running, people walking above you, etc. Very sound proof. Was a little worried about being on the first floor, but turned out to be very quiet unlike othe holiday inn expresses I've stayed at.
