My wife and I stayed at the HIX Victor on a two day ski trip to Bristol Mountain.
The HIX Victor is well located directly adjacent to the NY Thruway and there is a large shopping mall and several restaurants in the immediate area. Bristol Mountain is also less than a half hour away and it is an easy drive to the slopes.
As other reviewers have commented, the customer service at the HIX Victor is outstanding. For example, when we were booking the Manager suggested we consider the ski package versus buying tickets at the mountain. The HIX lift tickets are discounted and more flexible because they are unrestricted and can be used any day all day. We were also able to make special arrangements to drop by the HIX on the morning of arrival to pick up our lift tickets and check in early so we could change into our ski garb and not have to take all our luggage to the slopes. One of the benefits of being a Priority Club member.
The King Junior Suite was very spacious and clean with all the amenities including a sofa, desk, sit down table, fridge, microwave, etc. The rest of the property is clean and well maintained and we enjoyed the hot tub in the pool and fitness area after skiing. Breakfast was much more than your standard continental with coffee, eggs, pancakes, muffins, cereal, toast, etc. all available in a large sitting area with a fireplace and TV.
A great choice for skiing at Bristol.

My husband & I recently stayed in Victor, NY, over Christmas while visiting family.
Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Beds were COMFORTABLE!
There was plenty to choose from for breakfast and
the coffee was actually good.
Property was clean and the parking area was well-lighted.
Snowfall was removed very early and we had no trouble parking or driving in and out of the lot.
A nice experience for our first stay in this hotel.
Only con: as is every hotel room I have ever stayed in, the lighting is not bright enough. I am too old to read in the dark :))
Did enjoy the mints on the bed each day.

I was especially pleased to have the free airport shuttle from Rochester! It would have been a major inconvenience to have to get a taxi or have my very tired friend come and get me. My friends and I hung out in the breakfast room reminiscing as we waited for time to go the service. The staff was very friendly. The room was extremely comfortable.

Having stayed at this Inn many times I can honestly say that we always look forward to returning there. One could not ask for a more friendly staff to deal with. That is of major importance to us and the main reason for retuning there.

Nice hotel. Clean and comfortable bed. Only problem is it was the first HIX that did not have a refreigerator and microwave in the room.

The staff was great! My family and I enjoyed the property and location to events of a wedding we were attending. My husband and I discovered some kind of bug/beetle on the windows as soon as we checked in. The GM Bob was great about getting us into a new room quickly and assured me he would have the old room sprayed and properly treated.
Breakfast was ok. They seemed to be having problems with the pancake machine (but this is normal for a HIExpress). The hot food on the buffet looked decent at best.
Our room was very quiet. Although we didn't use them, to pool looked like it needed to be drained and deep cleaned (very green cloudy water), and the fitness center left much to be desired.

This is the nicest Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at yet. The guest room was very clean and neat, as was the lobby and breakfast area. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, and I cannot find fault with anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again when traveling in the area.

Hot tub was nice! Pool was alittle cold. Stayed first weekend of October. Good breakfest bar with good coffee. Liked location as it was next to mall.

We arrived late, so I was still sleeping at 8 a.m. when the housekeeper came to my room, threw open the door, and turned on the overhead light. I did not hear her announce her presence. although I subsequently heard her going on to other rooms and announcing herself in a voice so loud I could hear it many rooms away. (I was staying in handicap room 110 because I need the walk-in shower. The housekeeper may have assumed that I was hearing-impaired.)
All other staff were models of courtesy and helpfulness. The facility was excellent, except for the handicap bathroom, which had no place to put a dop kit, and the lighting made shaving impossible.

There aren't that many good motels off of the NYS Thruway between Geneva and Buffalo. My husband and I chose this one because of the Holiday Inn Express reputation, and, most important, its location just off the Thruway.
We were very pleasantly surprised - everything exceeded our expectations, and the price was quite reasonable. We definitely would stay here again.
